"Doesn't seem very fair that they would shoot me, of all people." Horst moped, wincing as Molly pulled the arrow free of his chest. Then he breathed a sigh of relief-- a somewhat wet sound as his punctured lung began to repair itself.
"I mean, what did I do? I try to get along with everyone."
In which there is CONTINUED pain
Her nerves were shot--a terrible and unintended pun, all things considered--to say the least. Once the arrow was removed, Molly dropped it to their side, her hands immediately moving to cover the wound at Horst's chest as though that alone would help to heal it.
Her hand shook.
"I know, sweetheart, I know--" She attempted to remain optimistic for him, soothing, as though he hadn't just come within a breath of death...again. Her gaze moved upward, attempting to gauge in the crowd or in the windows of the buildings around them or the roofs--
If she wasn't mistaken, there had been a brief flash of red hair a few roofs away.
"Somehow I don't think it was personal," She muttered, "But it's about to be."
I too wish to learn to write and type to put my s.o.-to-be's thoughts to paper and be of use to him.
I too hope to one day visit strange lands with him.
I too wish to know who the tall curly haired one is.
