2/2 Also my second favourite is the one about Minato and Itachi . Maybe because I find this rare pairing so interesting. You know in some ways they are actually parallels of each other. Both are like the crucial characters behind the main stories of Naru & Sasuke. And when we later get more things revealed more things changes in the story. Like it was an important moment for Naru when Minato stopped him and revealed he was his dad. And I dont need to talk about Ita cause you know it better

Anyway, thank you! Acquiescence is the first fanfic I wrote and posted…before that I would fantasize over my headcanons and changing fics I loved in my head, to match my personal taste even more, until I decided that since I liked rarepairs and dark scenarios and there weren’t many around, I should write them myself (btw DO try this at home y’all, when some person’s fic or headcanon or opinion doesn’t match yours instead of bitching that it’s WROOOOONG or leave outraged comments, write your own damn thing!). 

Minato and Itachi is a crack pairing I find very interesting because, like you said, they are parallels of each other; they both are the main character behind Nar*to and Sasuke, and the more is revealed about them, the more Nar and Sas’s story progresses. This thing you pointed out, that Minato stopped Nar*to made me think that while he calmed Nar down, basically, before he went completely berserk with the Nine Tails’ chakra, as he was fighting Pain….so in a way Nar has a dark violent side in him (=kyuubi, let’s say, although I think he has a violent dark side because of his childhood), even though it was Minato himself who put Kyuubi inside Nar*tom Itachi did the opposite. He first kept Sasuke ‘calm’ through keeping him ignorant of the truth, in order to keep him safe and peaceful in Konoha, but then, indirectly cause he was dead, the truth about him fueled Sasuke to fight more, and avenge him, when after ‘killing’ him he didn’t want any future. It’s the opposite direction as Nar*to again, as everything about them.

Back to Minato and Itachi, they have very different personalities but they also have something in common. They both love very deeply, they both sacrificed their lives for the one they loved, to keep them alive and safe, and at the same time they both put the one they loved through hell…Itachi lied to Sasuke and manipulated him into hating him so that he’d have a purpose in life, and even knowing Konoha’s flaws he wanted him there because he thought it was the safest place to live. Minato put the demon who killed him and his wife inside his newborn son, despite knowing how hard it would be…even though I think he would have never imagined that Naru would be treated so badly. I don’t remember him asking for secrecy unlike Itachi…I just remember him asking the ass*ole Third Hokage to look after his son ugh.

I ranted a lot lol, sorry! I’m so happy you liked my Minato/Itachi fic tho! And well I could be better (=update to that post: I changed route and Zampone and the other crows are ok, Zampone’s wife even brought me a tiny laurel branch as a gift, but Blu is uncomfortable with the new territory and bench…) but I guess I could be worse. I’ve been to the country and I’ve seen nice places. Thanks for your support and I hope you’re doing fine Anon!

Here, have some angst in rusty lines.

So I have literally no idea how but this ship crept into my mind yesterday night and...well, I just couldn't not draw anything. I even have a somewhat plausible story how elve!minato and itachi would meet and what would happen leading to this scene and all...but unfortunately I don't have time to write that out...maybe sometime in the future though.
