erm, i dont know if this is the right way to tell you about this :p
so i was on youtube shorts, and stumbled upon this video
https://youtube.com/shorts/eBDer8hWjeU?si=qcEcoNjIzBpD-ZGw
and the first thing that came to mind was the little book gen got senku to make for chrome and kaseki in your gen again series :>
thought it was cute and had to share it w you :p
OMG! So, the book is actually inspired by a book I have called ABCs of Mathematics by Chris Ferrie. I don't think Senku and Gen would be able to laminate the layers needed to get the functionality of the engineering book in the video, but that is exactly the sort of thing Gen had in mind. He'd just have to do it with flat grayscale illustrations instead of the little strings and papercrafts.
For now, anyway. When he helps Senku publish Engineering for Beginners: First Edition, Ishigami et all, he might include a flipbook image above the page numbers in the corner or a slotted page where if you turn the wheel embedded in it an illusion of repetitive movement is made.
Have you seen the books illustrated by Minalima with interactive elements? This is my copy of Peter Pan:
Papercrafts can do a lot.
