Ok, cosplayers. Let me tell you about my friend MindFall and why he is awesome.
Though we have only had a couple of impromptu photoshoots, Corey is absolutely one of my favorites of all the photographers I have worked with. Why? Well, for starters he makes me look like a badass even though I am just about the biggest cream puff you will ever meet, ever. But how about some proper reasons? Looking at his work, he has a great eye for photos and from my cosplayer's perspective he is fun to take pictures with, plus super welcoming. That Sailor Venus picture up there? That is one of my favorite pictures of any of my cosplays ever and it was taken pretty much because I followed my friend out into the cold at Anime USA 2011 to hold bags while she had a photoshoot with some dude I didn't know. Turns out that dude was Corey and when he finished with the X-men shots he looked at me and said "ok, your turn!" and I was basically like ";u;".
From the point of view of someone who takes cosplay photos, Corey's work makes me want to be a better photographer. Corey, you aren't on tumblr much anymore so I don't know if you will see this, but your work inspires me and makes me aspire to do better.
So... thanks. For the inspiration, for making me feel welcome, and for being an all-around cool dude.
