I just wanted to do this now before I lost inspiration again. I just finished beating The End Boss in normal mode (no cheating) and thought I would share the results with you all. It took me a good three hours, a rainbow of curse words, and a whole lot of dieing to figure out a legitimate strategy.

First Picture:

This is a picture of the gear I used when I went down into The End. The dirt is so that I could climb the obsidian towers and destroy the ender crystals. Two thirds of the potions were for tossing on the dragon. One-third was healing potions. The four obsidian is so you can make a wall around you as shown in the 2nd picture.

A quick tip: When fighting the dragon and it begins to fly at you, shoot it and it will turn away.

Second Picture:

This was my tower I sat on. The yellow wool is where I stood and the obsidian was to keep me from falling off. The dragon can and will knock you off the edge.

Third Picture:

This is the ender crystal.

My strategy:

First you must destroy all of the ender crystals. If you do this while the beam is attached to the dragon, the dragon will take damage. I recommend also bringing two buckets of water and making an unlimited source in a central zone. You can then use the water as a faster way down the towers. I staked out on one tower and just continuously shot the dragon away and he would occasionally hit me but I had plenty of food. Eventually I killed him and then proceeded to dance around the house happily. Once you go through a newly formed portal, it will show you the credits. If you want to skip those, press “esc”.
