The Minecraft bs is pissing me off, no the old game wasn’t better, you’re just clouded by nostalgia and can’t fucking accept change. Stop acting like every update is personally made to torture you, the eggs needed an update. Nostalgia or not no you could not fucking tell all the eggs apart, NO. YOU. COULD. NOT. The old ones maybe but not the new ones. And you can play the old versions right there, right fucking there.

“Oh new Minecraft feels like a mod” you play modded Minecraft exclusively so what is your fucking problem??? You’ve been bitching and moaning abt wanting updates like this for damn near a decade and now that you have it you’re mad?? Be fucking grateful they listened to you you spoiled brat.

The game got better, it’s not just a sandbox anymore, it has details, it feels more lived in, it’s not just some empty world where all you can do is kill Jean and build with like 4 types of wood and 2 stone variants, boo fucking hoo.

If you play exclusively modded Minecraft and complain about modern Minecraft feeing too much like a mod your argument is immediately invalid. Even just mainly modded, I don’t wanna hear it, stfu. You have no right to speak if you don’t even play vanilla, ESPECIALLY if you do not plan on playing the new update and just stick to your old versions with mods.

Prefer the old versions all you want but don’t act like it’s better. It’s not, that’s straight up facts. It was a half baked survival game that only really worked as a sandbox, you prolly only used it as a sandbox when you were 4 and playing for the first time.

New Minecraft cannot and will not hurt you, you on the other hand can and will hurt new players or ppl who prefer the updates when you come in and yell at them abt how superior old Minecraft was and allat shit. No it fucking wasn’t you just have nostalgia for it. You would not fucking enjoy the old game nowadays if it wasn’t for your raging nostalgia boner.

It just got details and more stuff to do and find and build with and play around with and animals to tame and have.

What does Minecraft need to do for you to be satisfied if nothing is good enough?? Not even having the option to play the old version exclusivity and not interacting with the updates is enough for you literal babies.

God I really want more Minecraft mob variants the way they did with wolves and cats, like there's so many different kinds of chicken out there and we only get bland white ones? Same goes for cows! I get it with sheep since they can be dyed but but come on the most cows have is the mooshroom and the chicken gets nothing!

there is something truly profound about minecraft, and i can’t place it but being in that never ending expanse is something akin to running into the woods as a kid, like you know you’ll run into the same things; Moss, tress, holes that lead into earth and animals that were here before you.

Yet i think minecraft takes that feeling and expands upon it. You’re finding the same structures yes. but never without it’s fair share of differences and challenges. some of my fondest memories as a kid playing that game was when my friends and I would find wildly absurd world generation or incredibly unique ways the world would generate structures. Walls of cobblestone that reach the heavens made simply because a villagers house spawned on a cliff side.

Minecraft mobs don't feel like Minecraft anymore.

All of the mobs and their features don't fit in with the base game anymore and a big reason for that is mob drops. For a few years most mobs haven't had any drops at all. Sniffers were supposed to drop moss blocks, but they don't. Goats were supposed to drop mutton, but they don't. The new mobs like the armadillo aren't gonna drop shit. They're taking the ability to choose how to get materials away from the player in a sandbox game where the player should get to decide. I should be able to kill a goat and get some meat, or kill an axolotl and get some fish, but Mojang is so scared of encouraging players to kill any of the non-monster mobs that they won't even give them drops. I personally like to give my animals graves in Minecraft, and I have nothing of that animal to put in them unless it's a farm animal, and I feel like making mobs completely disappear when they die is crueler than giving them a purpose. Mojang is trying to make people play the game a specific way instead of allowing all play styles. which is fine if your game isn't a sand box. Make frogs drop slime, make dogs drop bones, and make Minecraft better. I do really really love Minecraft and I think it's in the best state it's ever been in but that doesn't mean it can't be better. (Also, add the fireflies back. if a frog can eat a goat, they can eat fireflies)

Okay hear me out, I think I know exactly what plant the sniffer needs to give us and I feel like I may be on to something. Its supposed to be a decorative plant right? Well besides dead bushes, ferns, and the azaleas every other decorative plant gives us a dye I'm pretty sure. And pretty much every color is renewable except for blue. Sure you can hunt the caves or strip mine for the barest amount of lapis you can find these days, or you can set up shop in the perfect spot where corn flowers were and bonemeal getting 90% grass and hoping another cornflower spawns, but those are both pretty darn tedious. We've got tall rose bushes to give us red, sunflowers to give us yellow, both of those make orange renewable, cacti gives green and with bonemeal to white dye gives us lime, brown is renewable from cocoa beans and squid farm give us black dye; we've also got lilacs for magenta and peonys for pink. What we don't have however, is a renewable source for cyan, light blue, blue, and purple. TLDR: the sniffer needs to sniff out a tall blue flower to finally give us all dyes as renewable.

SO Minecraft has no lore but something that I want to see in an end update soo bad is expansion on the already existing traits of end mobs and blocks.

Endermen die in water, right? Let’s extend that to ALL end items. Dropped items dissolve in water, placed water corrodes end stone and purpur over time; basically, make water this alien substance that the end has no protection against.

On the subject, I LOVE the way endermen, chorus, and shulkers are completely different from anything else in the game. Are endermen mammals? Reptiles? Amphians? Nope! They’re just endermen. Same goes for chorus; not plants, not fungus, something else. When adding new features, they should fit this mold!

Of the end expansion mods, endergetic expansion is the most robust, but even that one fails in this aspect. Poise trees are alien enough with their huge bubbles on top, and bolloom plants could pass for not being plants, but the mobs of the expansion include a frog that flies using its puffy up thing and a puff BUG. See the problem? Both of these animals are too similar to animals that already exist, and although I love their designs, they don’t exactly feel alien.

So how can we design an alien mob? Well, maybe take inspiration from other mobs like that in the game. Creepers and phantoms, for instance, are out of place in the overworld among creatures with clearer origins, so let’s fix that! A new end mob could use explosions in some way, or it could fly. Also using existing characteristics of end mobs is a good idea, so they could also have teleportation, a body shield or shell, inflict levitation, etc.

As for blocks, the end is an opportunity to expand color palettes with only a few block outside of the wools and concretes. I’d LOVE to see lots of shades and textures of blue and purple blocks. Maybe they wouldn’t be weird as hell like purpur. I mentioned before that there could be corroded end stone and purpur (potentially, EVERY end block could be corroded), so that could work like copper, but with just two stages before the block disappears.

I just love the idea of the end serving as some kind of alien planet that lives without water or any other way you’d expect life to live, and I think mojang (or you!) could use the preexisting features and expand on them to make a full fledged end update.
