A guide for building odd numbered based, squared based, pyramids for Minecraft

A friend of mine created a spreadsheet to do the calculations for you and act as a reference for your next build. Included in this post is the data table produced when taking into account width of base and layers etc.

This includes all possible pyramid sizes available within "normal" world build limits.

Only for odd based pyramids.

This takes into account only the outer blocks and not interior, hollow interior one layer thick.
