For those who have difficulty installing the mod, there is now an installer. Installing the mod the usual way is preferred, though, as the installer is not always up to date

Why are the minestuck files I download JAR files? Can you explain a bit

Well, jar files are, technically, the same format as zip files. However, jar files are specifically meant to be java archives or java executables, while zip files are just normal archives. People may get confused and think they have to extract the zip, or on rare occasions it will be extracted automatically. Jar files don't have this problem, so instead of people or programs thinking "Oh, an archive, I should extract it" they are more likely to understand that the file itself needs to be put in the mods folder.

Also the way the releases are made now chooses to make them jars by default, and there's no reason to change that.
