In an apocalyptic world full of monsters and mutated humans; Mingles were created to help any known survivors. These little androids were built in a small hidden community, they were created to scout, alert, and most importantly care for any human they find and bring back to the community.
Though due to the change in the environment and air, along with some nuclear affect in the rain this affected the androids and they evolved to think for themselves, have personalities of their own, and even gained the ability to eat anything and create something out of it. They aren't meant to be aggressive but if their caretakers are harmed in any way just know you're losing at least a finger.
Mingles are typically small, about the size of a full grown rooster; though there are still some Mingles that are smaller than most.
Gender wise they have no gender, though that does not mean they can't be given one! People around the community will give their Mingle a gender based on the color or name or on how the mingle acts!
Mingles do tend to “fight” each other but what they're really doing is trying to see who can jump higher than who…or they're doing human Pyramids but with Mingles. Although created to alert and scout, they love to be silly and for the fun of it they'll hop around like a kangaroo and sometimes this action creates a chain reaction and then you'll just have a small group of Mingles kangaroo hopping!
Mingles have a tendency to steal batteries, no one really knows why they do that but so far from the looks of it they give the batteries to another Mingle as a way to create a friend! It's a bit…odd but insanely cute as well!

Mingles like to create special bonds with their caretaker but when you live in an apocalyptic world things aren't always the happiest. There have been cases where a Mingles caretaker is killed or missing; Mingles don't really understand the concept of death and this causes the Mingle to go on a search or stay by the side of said caretakers.
A Mingle that searches for the caretaker and can't find them WILL go back to the last place they went and wait there until they return and eventually if they don't return the Mingle goes into shutdown and will never go online again.
Mingles that search and return to the last place they've seen their caretakers are called Last memories; many believe it's where they go through records of memories before shutting down to feel comforted.
A Mingle that stays by the dead caretaker will defend the body, going as far as to cover the body with leaves as an attempt to keep them safe and warm and will even try and offer batteries. Though when nothing works the Mingle snuggles close to the body and slowly shuts down.
These Mingles are called Waiters, risking and protecting till their last bit of energy, laying next to the caretaker brings them comfort and it is said that Mingles also do this to comfort their dead caretaker.

Mingles like to lay on their backs, it's their way of asking for attention; in a way, they're playing dead till they get someone's attention! Sometimes they'll do this to each other and this results in chasing one another.
Mingles like to attempt laying on their caretakers in the strangest ways ever, they will do everything in their power to be in the weirdest laying pose and stay like that for hours! Oh, and they like to lay in backpacks…or they attempt to lay in backpacks, so far they've been failing.
If you ever wonder why your chest feels so heavy while sleeping just know it's your mingle laying there while on look out, if they can't sleep then they'll cuddle you and be on look out.
