Min Ho stood beside Kitty outside the airport, his hands tucked into the pockets of his designer jacket as they waited for her dad to pick them up. The long flight should’ve given him time to clear his head, but if anything, being this close to her for hours had only made everything between them feel harder to ignore.
Their relationship had shifted so many times over the past year that Min Ho barely knew what to call it anymore. First, he had confessed his love only for Kitty to turn him down. Then, just when he had finally started trying to move on, she admitted she liked him too. After that, they decided to give things a real shot. Somehow, despite finally finding their way to each other, uncertainty and doubt had still managed to pull them apart before either of them could fully have a chance. But eventually, they figured it out.
Now, somehow, they were actually together: no more mixed signals, no more dancing around their feelings or pretending there was nothing between them. Even now, standing beside her, it still felt a little surreal to Min Ho. Min Ho had always been the charming guy. But Kitty was different. With her, every word seemed to matter more and every touch had a way of staying with him long after the moment had passed.
As he glanced over at her, Min Ho found himself wondering what this trip meant for them now. Whether this was just the start of another complicated chapter in their story… or maybe the beginning of something real.
“You ready for this, Covey?”
