One of my favorite ship dynamics is the petulant bickering/competition of siblinghood paired with crippling sexual tension.

30 Days of Shipping: Day 5
🦿Jorian🤖
We all have to die to be reborn (But we have tonight to sail the storm)
Fandom: Almost Human (TV) Pairing: John Kennex/Dorian Rating: T Coda to S01E07 (original order S01E10), Simon Says
If someone had told him that one day he'd laugh in certain death's face again, he'd have laughed in theirs. If someone had told him that there was still joy in living, even for him, he might have stopped laughing.
But then, here he was. Laughing.
The explosive collar finally unlocked around his neck, he sat and just... let it out. Dimly, he thought the anger management group counsellor would be getting a kick out of this much sharing. Even if it was just with himself and the empty air around him.
Once he had his breathing half-way under control again, he had a different thought altogether: where was Dorian?
His question was swiftly answered by Paul swooping in with a dozen MXs, securing the square and John and his dangling explosives.
"Kennex, you alright?" Noting the wrinkles of concern on his brow, John could almost believe that Paul had been genuinely worried.
"Where's Dorian?" he asked instead.
Paul huffed, but rather than giving him shit for it he said, "He only went and saved your life. Bought you enough time to disarm the damn thing. Simon was carrying a dead man switch. If we'd taken a shot at him, you'd be toast right now. So Dorian worked out how to get to him and secured him."
Happy to ignore the technicalities, John as good as leapt up from the bench. "He did what? Where?"
"Fucking Christ, Kennex, sit down!" Paul barked, now back to form. "Bomb squad still has to clear you, medics too."
John growled, but reluctantly sat back down. "Where is he? Simon said he could see me but there were no cameras, so he must have been close."
To his horror, Paul twisted around and pointed up and behind him, at the landmark clock tower half a mile away. "Simon was up there."
