Suzy was never fond of mornings, yet on this particularly blinding daybreak, she found herself roaming the silent streets with remarkable energy. She was still in her clothes from the night before and hadn't caught a wink of sleep, but she moved with the vitality that was usually attributed to more than three coffees. 

Maybe she hadn't given the early morning enough credit -- it was quiet out, and for the first time in ages, her mind felt clear. Peaceful, despite the residual buzz from earlier in the night. Fatigue gradually worked its way to her limbs and she settled for dipping in a nearby cafe for something to eat.
