(12:18:14 AM) Mini Chen: YOU DESERVE A CAT
(12:05:22 AM) Mini Chen: how come you like cats so much btw?
(12:05:38 AM) Preston Chang: i don't know how to describe it.. i was trying to think about this yesterday
(12:05:41 AM) Preston Chang: as i saw cats
(12:05:44 AM) Preston Chang: cats just chill out
(12:05:50 AM) Preston Chang: and sleep and groom and lounge
(12:05:54 AM) Preston Chang: like, by tourist places
(12:05:57 AM) Preston Chang: SUPER CUTE
(12:06:02 AM) Preston Chang: i petted them :3
(12:06:10 AM) Preston Chang: i love the way their bodies are shaped
(12:06:14 AM) Preston Chang: it's like, cute and majestic and pretty
(12:06:19 AM) Preston Chang: the legs and feet and tails
(12:06:22 AM) Preston Chang: the tails are really elegant
(12:07:28 AM) Preston Chang: their mannerisms are cute, too
(12:07:36 AM) Preston Chang: the way they posture themselves for anything
(12:07:42 AM) Preston Chang: laying down, sleeping, tumbling
(12:07:47 AM) Preston Chang: they walk really smoothly
(12:07:52 AM) Preston Chang: i love that they're so well-balanced and coordinated
(12:07:57 AM) Preston Chang: jump crazy high
(12:08:09 AM) Preston Chang: it's like they're always stalking
(12:08:22 AM) Preston Chang: and if you've ever looked closely at a cat when it's standing still
(12:08:26 AM) Preston Chang: and it hears a noise far away
(12:08:31 AM) Preston Chang: sometimes just one of its ears rotates
(12:08:35 AM) Preston Chang: like it turns a few degrees
(12:08:39 AM) Preston Chang: outwards
(12:08:42 AM) Preston Chang: and it's SUPER cute
(12:09:17 AM) Preston Chang: and when their eyes close they look like they're smiling
(12:09:24 AM) Preston Chang: like when you put them on the head and their eyes close
(12:09:37 AM) Preston Chang: and the way they SWIPE at things is SO cute
(12:09:41 AM) Preston Chang: like strings or other dangly things
(12:09:50 AM) Preston Chang: or the way they use their paws to try and cover bugs on the ground
(12:10:23 AM) Preston Chang: they track with this cunning precision
(12:10:46 AM) Preston Chang: like their eyes are cameras scanning the environment and their brains are computers calculating jump distances and trajectories
(12:11:15 AM) Preston Chang: and then when they sleep it's just like super cute
(12:11:25 AM) Preston Chang: yesterday i pet this cat that was sleeping
(12:11:34 AM) Preston Chang: and it just didn't wake up, even when i poked it and pressed on its head multiple times
(12:11:36 AM) Preston Chang: and i love that
(12:11:48 AM) Preston Chang: that cats are always so engaged in whatever they're doin
(12:11:53 AM) Preston Chang: and yesterday we saw a cat that was grooming itself
(12:12:02 AM) Preston Chang: and the whole time i was watching it and talking to it and petting it, it just kept grooming itself
(12:12:17 AM) Preston Chang: like it didn't care at all that it was the center of attention of everyone walking down that street
(12:12:40 AM) Preston Chang: i like that cats have a mind of their own
(12:12:50 AM) Preston Chang: dogs are fun and stuff, and i like that they're SO attention-giving
(12:12:55 AM) Preston Chang: but they're kinda predictable
(12:13:00 AM) Preston Chang: throw a ball, it'll fetch it
(12:13:05 AM) Preston Chang: pat your thigh, it'll jump up
(12:13:14 AM) Preston Chang: rub its tummy, it'll roll over
(12:13:22 AM) Preston Chang: talk to it, it'll look back at you
(12:13:26 AM) Preston Chang: but CATS ...
(12:13:46 AM) Preston Chang: basically, do anything, and you'll have no idea what it'll do in response
(12:13:51 AM) Preston Chang: other than a few things
(12:13:58 AM) Preston Chang: like if you pet its head, it'll close its eyes
(12:14:07 AM) Preston Chang: and if you touch its tummy, it'll probably scratch you with its hind legs
(12:15:06 AM) Preston Chang: and i like how they slink around
(12:15:08 AM) Preston Chang: super stealthily
(12:15:16 AM) Preston Chang: like you're chilling on the couch
(12:15:22 AM) Preston Chang: and all of a sudden the cat is behind your head like
(12:15:23 AM) Preston Chang: HEYA
(12:15:29 AM) Preston Chang: but not really 'cause it doesn't care to interact with you
(12:15:41 AM) Preston Chang: their tails also have like a mind of their own
(12:15:52 AM) Preston Chang: the way they absentmindedly curl around
(12:15:54 AM) Preston Chang: and wiggle
(12:15:56 AM) Preston Chang: very elegantly
(12:16:03 AM) Preston Chang: it kind of reflects what the cat is thinking
(12:16:07 AM) Preston Chang: its curiosity in something
(12:16:12 AM) Preston Chang: and i like how cats are so CURIOUS
(12:16:16 AM) Preston Chang: they love watching things
(12:16:19 AM) Preston Chang: and looking at the outdoors
(12:16:25 AM) Preston Chang: and chasing little things on the gruond
(12:17:19 AM) Preston Chang: i like how they look when they're sitting up
(12:17:25 AM) Preston Chang: the front paws are always together
(12:17:30 AM) Preston Chang: it's very regal
(12:18:06 AM) Mini Chen: LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
(12:18:10 AM) Mini Chen: OMGSH PRESTON
(12:18:14 AM) Mini Chen: YOU DESERVE A CAT

(12:18:26 AM) Mini Chen: buy you a cat
(12:18:30 AM) Mini Chen: like you are probably
(12:18:34 AM) Mini Chen: the most deserving of a cat
(12:18:35 AM) Mini Chen: ever
(12:18:37 AM) Mini Chen: just take my cat
(12:18:39 AM) Mini Chen: whatever
(12:18:42 AM) Preston Chang: HAHAHAHHA
(12:18:42 AM) Mini Chen: i don't deserve him
(12:18:44 AM) Mini Chen: as much as you do
(12:18:49 AM) Mini Chen: LOL
(12:19:04 AM) Mini Chen: dude you could write a book after a cat
(12:19:07 AM) Preston Chang: no one's actually ever asked me before why i like cats
(12:19:08 AM) Mini Chen: that sounded like a love note
(12:19:09 AM) Mini Chen: to cat
(12:19:11 AM) Preston Chang: thanks for helping me let all that out
(12:19:19 AM) Mini Chen: no problem
