Three weavings I made on a mini loom
I joined a knittng circle! It's a club ($20 for the year) that meets weekly at a community centre, to just hang out and do fibre arts of all kinds (not just knitting). The location is walking distance from my new home!
I joined last month, but they meet on Sundays, and I guess I haven't gotten used to thinking "Sundays are now a day I go out and do an activity" so I've actually missed 100% of the meetings since joining, dangit!!
I'm going to try to build my Saturday routine a bit better, scheduling time to plan for my new Sunday outing. The meeting time will also force me to consider my lunch and dinner plans for Sunday in advance.
Side-note: I also picked up a mini loom (about 8x8 inches, or 20x20 cm) because I saw someone weaving at the free event the club hosted last month, and I thought that looked like a great way to use up small yarn scraps! I'm not yet sure what I would do with all those tiny squares... Two ideas that come to mind are: rug mugs (like coasters) and patchwork sewing (join with a zigzag to make a patchwork fabric). But yeah, maybe I'll get some ideas when I go next!
