I found more stuff at Prichos (basically a dollar store inside Walmart/Bodega Aurrera here in Mexico)

Mini bottles for potions and ingredients. They're kinda big for doll scale, but can still work for background stuff, it was 6 in each pack, and for some reason they're labelled as kitchen stuff. They're actual glass, but feel kinda light.

Skaterboards! They're okayish quality, and a tiny bit small to be the proper scale, but the way they're built means I can make my own and just hot glue the wheels on those. But to be completely honest, I mainly bought them for the tiny screwdriver for Frankie.

Giant balls of leaves. I have no idea what their purpose is (I mean, obviously they are decoration, bu of what?) But the leaves themselves are a very okay scale for making planters, trees or bushes for dioramas, and each one has a lot of leaves. There are 3 different ones.

Sponges!

I wanna make a couch, or seat, or something for Draculaura to seat while reading her witchy books and wanted sponges for easy cushions, and these ones, which are meant for crystal stuff, already come with a cover, so I got them. I might need to get another pack if I plan to make an actual couch

There’s either the traditional, they met during all the draft prospect activities like going to the stanley cup final and then all the stuff they did with cabbie and going to the everglades and then finally the draft. I like the idea that they kind of flirt with each other for a bit and finally, at the marlins game they talk to each other, really get to know each other. then their relationship develops mostly through text and it’s more of a slow burn and ends with them spending a summer together drowning themselves with each other and just overall being greedy with their time. Before they have to spend almost the rest of the season away from each other again.

Then there’s this repressed Jack idea I like. Where Jack coems from a more blue collar town, he’s the pride and joy and it’s still massachusetts but it’s scary, being the face of something so many people find so much pride in. He’s scared to be out, especially to be out with connor. Connor and him have a connection almost immediately and he tries to ignore it or push connor away but he can’t and Connor can see right through him. In interviews i see Connor trying to pull Jack into his orbit so much, pointing to him, referencing him, saying how lucky he is to be matched against Jack, and in return Jack barely acknowledges him. Even when they played together at the WCOH Jack talks to him directly maybe once. He never goes to celly with Connor, never goes to touch connor, all the contact they have is Connor touching him. But there’s also a video of Jack leaning into Connor as they walk into a hallway, talking like there’s nothing wrong. I feel liek jack pushes connor away as much as he can but when they’re alone, when there’s no pressure, Jack falls into him so easily, he can’t stop himself. And connor is there for him, takes what jack can give and promises to be around. He doesn’t push jack to be more anything. He just wants Jack happy, wants to take care of him. And any pain he feels when jack ignores him in public is so much less than the fear and pain jack feels every second of the day when he thinks people will hate him for a part that Connor finds so pure. There’s also this moment where Jack is basically having a panci attack at the everglades and Connor is just sort of…floating behidn him. close enough to make sure he’s okay but not so close it would make it worse.

THEN i’m writing a fic (a really long one but i am determined to finish it) where they’re soulmates but do not like each other because Connor is emotionally shallow and Jack is a drama queen. and eventually they make it work. Because basically in this AU there’s a rule in the CBA that says if there are soulmates in the NHl they have to go to the same team and that team is the team of the highest drafted. So Jack is basically ripped from his chance to be treated like his own person as he’s stuck to Connor and thrown into Edmonton, meanwhile the city of Buffalo hates him for it (even though he didn’t choose it.) and Connor is unavailable to him. But then for Connor he has all this pressure to be the best and he thinks “wow okay i have this kid who is the second best behind me on my team and maybe he can take some of that pressure off,” just to have more pressure because now he has to not only be the best NHL player of all time but the best boyfriend to a kid that pretty much hates and resents him. They just clash until they don’t, until they realize they need to fight for each other because they get it, underneath all of it,t hey love each other, and that it’s always work even if you are perfect for each other.
