Why you should remove doubles in blender 😊
A lil tut for a peeps for insight on my process :/
this is weird, probably, but would you post a psd or maybe a tutorial for how you did the actual text settings?
Not weird at all! IKEA uses the Verdana font currently, that one should be included in your fonts on your pc already. I just browsed through some catalogue pages until I found a layout I liked. They have quite a few different ones, I went for something like this:
So what you do then is just type out the different lines. I picked the Bold setting for the name of the table, then did the description in the Regular font and the price in the Bold font again. Also since the Simoleon sign doesn’t exist, I did the sign used for paragraphs (§), because it looks the most like it.
Then you just need to adjust the font size of each line until it looks like your reference picture and place them in the correct places. I ended up with 4 separate text layers: the title, the description, the simoleon sign and the price! I did the title a bit bigger than the reference picture just so you could see it better in the preview. Hopefully this is clear enough!
This is a post for @unsimscribe but I figured I’d publish in case this is helpful for anyone else
For more sliders and functionality in CAS I use two mods. Master Controller and a mod by CmarNYC at MTS (Cmars mod also expands the skintone picker panel)
Cmar’s mod: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=434270 I use the full version. Just make sure to read the readme that comes inside the zip file so that you know what you need to install. The zip comes with all sorts of different files and you don’t need to install all of them
Master Controller: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController I use the base mod along with the Integration module and the Expanded Tattoo module.
As for the beauty mark and freckles picker panel there is a mod by Rez Delnava at MTS
Rez’s mod: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=410965
This is how mine looks with all these installed
NOTE: If you want the sliders to show up in alphabetical order and have the numbers like shown in the picture you need to open up Master Controller and change the setting that says Override Custom Core Sliders to True. You can find this option by clicking anywhere in game then choosing nraas>Master Controller>Settings>CAS
You make really nice gif- do you have any tips? Also, what do you usually do to make it so nice if you don't mind---like play around with contrast, curves, etc?? Thank you
Hi anon OMG thank you very much for saying nice things about my gifs :)
This is not like a tip or anything but this is what i usually do with my gifs I have 2 fave psds that i use as a base on my gifs all the time(they are not my psds) and what i do is i adjust the ‘curves’ and ‘levels’ depending on how bright i want the certain gifset to be.The next thing i do is increase the number on the ‘vibrance’, because what that does is it brings out all the colours from the frames and u can see the gifs will have really vibrant colour. The next step is i play around a lot with colour balance, this is because sometimes videos tends to have a lot of yellow in them and i dislike that colour so I tried to stay in the blue and red side rather then yellow and green. and after that if i feel like i need to change more colours then i add ‘selective colour’ layer and fix my colouring to my preferences and yeah that’s about it :)
i hope this helps anon and thanks again :)
