Mini relationship chart for Philomina :Y
Here's a relationship chart between Philomina, Herta, Silver Wolf, and Fu Xuan! The reason I chose SW, Herta, and Fu Xuan for the relationship chart was because I had a concrete idea of how Philomina would interact with them :D
Phil and Herta are good friends! They met when Phil was going around the universe interviewing the Genius Society. Although Herta's recklessness and pride often worries the Bibliophile, Phil appreciates Herta's contributions to the field of science and regards the genius as highly reliable. Herta sees Phil as an individual who understands her as a genius, but does feel slightly annoyed of Phil's overly-cautious demeanor. So although they have contrasting personalities, both individuals know that they can rely on one another.
Phil is a sponsor and co-producer of the Simulated Universe. She contributes to the historical events of the Simulated Universe, like the Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears installments. Because she's lived for a long time, Philomina can act as a primary resource, managing the historical events and assessing their credibility. Phil also assists as a beta tester for the Simulated Universe if she has free time on her schedule.
Phil and Fu Xuan are friendly but they both have contrasting beliefs on the concept of fate. As a Master Diviner, Fu Xuan divines the possible victories for the Xianzhou Luofu, but if she encounters a future event that is unchangeable, Fu Xuan is certain that it will come true. Fu Xuan believes in the concept of fate and destiny, for she has experienced it in practice once before. Phil, on the other hand, sees divination as malarkey. No one knows what will actually happen in the future. The idea of foresight is a fallacy that convinces the individual that there was only one predetermined path, when in actuality there are infinite possibilities on how things will end.
As you can probably guess, Phil and Fu Xuan debated the credibility of fate during their first meeting. Both ladies did not back down on their beliefs. As they continued to argue over the years, though, Phil and Fu Xuan began to understand the other's beliefs. Then, they began to share their other interests: Their favorite foods, their favorite scenery, their favorite things to do after they've completed all of their work. Eventually, during her 17th semi-annual visit to the Xianzhou Luofu, Philomina offered a truce to Fu Xuan: from now on, they won't debate over the flexibility of destiny, as neither would relent. Fu Xuan, skeptically, agreed. Philomina then offered an open hand to the pink-haired Master Diviner, asking if she could be friends with her with a beaming smile. And, with a smile, Fu Xuan did the same.
Phil and SW have an antagonistic relationship. Phil views the Stellaron Hunters as criminals with a good reason to be criminals, but disagrees with their actions nonetheless. If she ever sees a Stellaron Hunter, it's on sight. With SW specifically, Phil regards the hacker as childish and simple-minded with her aether editing shenanigans and her Punklordian world view. Basically, Phil sees SW as a nuisance. SW, on the other hand, views Phil as an obstacle for her to improve and eventually overcome. She sees Phil as one of the last bosses in the game to finally defeat to progress towards the big bad. When they first fought, SW was badly beaten. Phil's "reality" manipulation rivaled SW's aether editing skills, and SW couldn't keep up with the constant barrage of attacks from the Bibliophile. But despite that loss, SW finally found an obstacle that would challenge her and push her to her limits. And, unlike the Genuis Society, Phil takes SW seriously. So in a twisted sense, SW appreciates Phil. They have a one-sided rivalry, basically.
SW sees the world as a game to play around with; Phil sees the world as an ongoing story to be witnessed.
