Making bases for the bloat drones is freeing as the only thing interrupting the base is the flight stand, no pesky models to get in the way :P Plus I can really get at it when it's static grass time.

So I’m trying my hand at making some multi-bases for Kings of War. I love the idea of not needing to move hundreds of models individually. Lol

These are my first five experiments. 100x80mm regiment bases for infantry. I’m using corkboard and PVA glue to fix it to my base and then I either stacked more chunks for height differences or left recesses that I filled with glue. The recesses I’ll style up and paint to look like water and I’ll decorate the base with some Vallejo ground texture and some tundra static grass clumps. I’m a little worried about stacking the goblins on the bases in an aesthetically pleasing way, but I guess I will figure it out.

HSD #13 Mould made. 200mil of Pinkysil Test cast done 40mil Supercast for 12 bases. Some bubbles, but overall pretty good.I might paint a couple of to show their final state. EDIT: And to wrap up the posts about casting bases, a quick paint job and this is what some of the finished ones look like. So thats it.Sculpt, make a mold, make some casts and paint!
