So I’m trying my hand at making some multi-bases for Kings of War. I love the idea of not needing to move hundreds of models individually. Lol

These are my first five experiments. 100x80mm regiment bases for infantry. I’m using corkboard and PVA glue to fix it to my base and then I either stacked more chunks for height differences or left recesses that I filled with glue. The recesses I’ll style up and paint to look like water and I’ll decorate the base with some Vallejo ground texture and some tundra static grass clumps. I’m a little worried about stacking the goblins on the bases in an aesthetically pleasing way, but I guess I will figure it out.

I wanted to give Kings of War a shot, so I’m building up some goblins. The goblin slasher (dinosaur with a harpoon gun) looks pretty good, but the rest of these models are pretty rough. If I end up liking the game I might just make proxy models for whatever faction I’m playing instead of getting the Mantic brand minis. If I like a game I want to support the folks developing it, but I’m pretty spoiled on quality when most of what I build are games workshop kits.

I’m hoping to get my starting goblin force ready to play in a couple weeks, then off to the terrifying prospect of engaging with a new gaming community. Haha

First post! This is my first fully painted army after getting back into painting from a very long hiatus. Ironjaws Orruks painted with bone coloured armour and some red accents. I had a lot of fun with this and look forward to painting more orca and goblins soon.
