I’m very impressed with our Mini Moth Orchid (Phalaenopsis) they are epiphytes or lithophytes with long, coarse roots, short, leafy stems and long-lasting, flat flowers arranged in a flowering stem that often branches near the end. Native to India, Taiwan, China, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Australia with the majority in Indonesia and the Philippines. This one has been in continuous flower since May last year when I bought it in full flower. This Mini Moth Orchid has been flowering continuously for the last 6 months! Over 30 flowers so far. (Phalaenopsis) they are epiphytes or lithophytes with long, coarse roots, short, leafy stems and long-lasting, flat flowers arranged in a flowering stem that often branches near the end. Native to India, Taiwan, China, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Australia with the majority in Indonesia and the Philippines. In the past I’ve had no luck with these. I’ve given it weak liquid fertiliser and kept it at an east facing window. I sometimes fill the pot completely with water and then let it drain away completely. Really doing well now, is our new Mini Moth Orchid (Phalaenopsis) they are epiphytes or lithophytes with long, coarse roots, short, leafy stems and long-lasting, flat flowers arranged in a flowering stem that often branches near the end. I don’t think it enjoyed being in a supermarket. In the past I’ve had no luck with the couple I’ve tried to grow.
