I took my woodcut into the living room, and hang it there from the roof. His things and my memories of the apartment affect each other. The woodcut covers his furniture and things, which in turn gives new shapes to my memories.

Anna was listening to Peri’s warning. She wasn’t going to get her hopes up. It was entirely possible that Gliss wouldn’t want to talk about anything related to the Nørsjo Hollow, and that was fine. But... still, Anna was kind of getting her hopes up. There was only so much you could learn from books.

After meeting Terence at the flotilla, it seemed like a good idea to invite Gliss to meet her at Blue Oven. Maybe that would make her more comfortable, being in a business that fairies owned. Anna ordered a pot of tea and some pastries and waited.

She recognized Gliss and waved her over. “Hi! I’m Anna! Thank you so much, it’s really nice to meet you.” Anna smiled hopefully.
