Little late but I’m not use to writing about a W-I-N!

Kevin Williams still has it - One of my favorite stories about my 87 year old grandma is when she was whipping up the dance moves at the local eagles club, and the “locals” were hitting on her left and right. Her response? “I still GOT IT!” Well #93 still has it after a terrific performance on Thursday. 7 tackles, and 2.5 sacks to be exact. He was disruptive all night long and was relentless.

John Carlson is on this football team.... - FINALLY! Tight end John Carlson has pretty much been non-existent since arriving to Minnesota on that god awful contract. But with an injury to starter Kyle Rudolph, Carlson got the call. He didn’t let the bright lights get to him has he was hauling in 7 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown. He was #1 target all night long and it just makes you wonder where this as been the past 2 seasons?!? 

TIMEOUT - The Vikings coaching staff has had major clock management issues this season and it didn’t stop against Washington.  As the R words were driving late in the game, the staff called a timeout to settle things down. Then on that same drive, a goal  line situation was taking place with under a minute left and they took ANOTHER timeout. Giving Washington a chance to draw up a play. If the Vikings would have lost this game, it would have been a HUGE talker and possible firings would have taken place. I’m not as upset with it. The Vikings had a depleted defense with multiple injuries going into the game. I think using a time out in that situation was simply lets make sure these backups know where they need to be in this crucial time and situation. 

Hear that? It’s the Viking players, coaches, and fans finally exhaling after getting a victory on American soil. 

NEXT UP:  Seattle Seahawks. And OH yeah former Viking Percy Harvin might be making his season debut.....
