Hii, no rush or anything but I was just curious to know when we can sort of expect the next minnie fic?

So are all of the members aware of mimiwon or just Vernon since it’s not an easy topic to bring up so easily? If not, are the members suspicious but aren’t bringing it up since they rather them do it?

So I do plan on writing maybe a chapter about this but I have to think about it more carefully ˙ᵕ˙

This is how I imagined it: The others definitely know SOMETHING is going on bc they’re way too obvious for it to stay as a secret. Some of the members got too nosey for their own good and have definitely asked about it, but the three just treat it casually and kind of just go with the flow and are like “yeah, it’s just casual fun and whatever” bc it’s definitely, like you said, not an easy topic (for people around them but also for them as it’s not the ‘norm’ like it’s socially acceptable). So most members just watch and find it adorable, but let them do their thing, in my head ˙ᵕ˙

Due to Minnie and Vernon’s closeness and him being a quiet observer, he definitely knows a bit more than the others haha

I’m also still trying to figure out how I want to write them and approach this topic, so any input and ideas/thoughts are very welcome! I only have one person in my circle that’s in a poly relationship, so I kinda take her advice and what she tells me what it’s like with her and her boyfriends🤭

I’m just curious as to why she calls the other members “hyung” cause correct me if I’m wrong like isn’t that what a male calls his older brother/friend in Korean??

You’re right! Typically, guys use it to address a man that is slightly older than them (brother or friend)! In my AU I once have a short explanation about why Minnie uses “hyung” as well. So, in my head I came up with this: when she started training my with the other guys, to make her feel more included and comfortable around them, Seungcheol offered her to call him “hyung”, just like all the other trainees did. Mind you, she didn’t grow up speaking much Korean, so to use honourifics was already new to her, so he just decided to tell her to call him that. Therefore, over the years the “meaning” of it changed for her and she “hyung” just became the norm (for calling that every older guy) to her. And because of that, the word “oppa” has become kinda more important to her and she mentioned once in their early debut days that she would only ever call a real older brother (if she had one) or a boyfriend this.

Well… her relationship to S.Coups has and always will be much different than to any other of the guys. Don’t get me wrong, she’s obviously insanely close to all of them and she calls them her family in every way possible, but growing up with Cheol in the way she did has just been special to her and she decided to start giving him a different honorific name than the others.

She has been caught dropping the “hyung” with some other members, resulting in quite the gossip around Caratland, but it’s rare. Truth is, her views on the honourifics names has just changed slightly ˙ᵕ˙

Btw, I didn’t come up with this all by myself! I was inspired to do it like that bc of an Interview I saw with the Busted! cast, where Kim Sejeong explained why she calls Sehun “hyung”. I thought it was really interesting and something different for once, so I wanted to use it ˙ᵕ˙
