I was asked to think about my future and fell down a shame spiral of the fact I suspect I'll be doing the same thing I am right now in five years, by which I mean 1. retail, 2. more retail, 3. still retail, 4. even more retail, and 5. dying in retail. I was really tempted to answer this way, but I decided not to be an asshole. :P SORRY IT TOOK 5,000 YEARS TO ANSWER!

I'm working on a review of vN by Madeline Ashby! It was a great book. ROBOTS. \o/ The sequel, iD, also looks promising.
I'm trying to finish a review of Cold Steel that lifeofkj and I have been writing for six months (MAYBE MORE?). I'm the worst, KJ. I'm sorry.
I'm still pounding away on the 2013 version of Coverage of Women on SFF Blogs. It was a slog this this and I suspect it will be for very little return. I'll be glad when it's done. This will be the last year for the project unless someone decides to give me a grant. :P
If I admit to the fic I'm writing I'm afraid I won't finish it. But I am working on some fic! For a very recent fandom that has eaten me.
I am also writing my assignment for doink-finalfantasyexchange which I wrote 200 words of and then sulked over for a week. This is a normal part of my process, sulking. #pro
I want to write for a living! It doesn't have to be fiction. I'm getting better at structuring essays (essay writing is difficult!). I wouldn't mind exploring other types of copy writing, too.
Moving to a place with more culture. This is in the cards: we're aiming for Portland! Although money is bad here and jobs are impossible to find, I will miss Arkansas. I am a Southerner. It's going to be weird. :(
I would like to one day keep bees! Bees are fun.
I want to learn to dance soon. Hip hop, mostly, although it might be cool to learn some simple ballet. I remember when jtownmatt did ballet, his leg muscles were out of control. He could've killed me with his thighs. This will probably have to wait until I move somewhere with more accessible dance classes.
Travel outside the US is a huge goal. It's so expensive, but I need it to happen at least once.
