some of the viiiibes of the girls
there's Abby, Bianca, Darcy and Ruby. I'll start of with...
Abby (still working on a last name, will likely something kinda generic)
kind of the Bill Dickey (but currently less erratic, though that could change as i develop the character) of the group: self-centered, vain, kinda an idiot. one of the major differences is that only her close friends seem to realize just how goofy and stupid she is, since Bianca helps her keep up appearances.
i wanna be careful and not let her fall completely into the pretty mean blonde girl trope (esp the misogynistic undertones)
trying to avoid that via making her not blonde and making her genuinely thoughtful. like yes, she loves pop-culture and fashion and other girly interests, but she's the type of person to know the perfect color, fit and texture for each of her friends because she noticed it once and never forgot.
she's also the type of person who will make fun of someone for being geeky, but then she listens and starts to make fun of the details.
i.e. if Ruby were to get her to watch an episode of Soul Eater, Abby's calling it lame and teasing her friend for even liking something so nerdy. Then all of a sudden, she's pointing out Death the kid's hypocrisy.
"He's so stupid, doesn't he look in a mirror? He's literally asymmetrical."
It's not even her way of showing that she cares; she's just like that.
So, if she were to play DND with the Eltingville club boys (very, very unlikely to happen, she wouldn't step foot in that basement), she would end up asking shit like:
"So like, if the other elves can use their magic flute or whatever to control people, why can't I, Jerry? That's literally not fair."
She sees men as social currency, and not much else.
Doesn't quite treat popularity as politics like Bianca (who lowkey runs shit like it's the navy), but instead just basks in the attention.
I'm still working on the "why" of motivations, but part of it was definitely her idolizing the older, middle school girls when she was in, like, elementary school. I mean, they were so pretty and perfect. Of course Abby wants to be just like them when she grows up.
Or maybe she and Bianca spent too much time with B's older sister (...who's a kinda mess, still being developed, but so far she's caused quite a few issues in B).
Abby keeps posters of women she idolizes and generic celebrity men on her wall. Such as Johnathan Bennett as Aaron Samuels, Holly Madison, Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears.
more to be developed lol <33
