sometimes i think about when I was a toddler learning how to hold a crayon and write, my mother saw that i was left-handed and always made me switch hands until i learned with my right hand instead, to the point where I would get frustrated and cry and break my crayons and she would yell at me. all because my brother is left-handed and apparently got made fun of for it? dk

so I've been functionally right-handed my whole life, not even ambidextrous, but my neurology sometimes forgets and thinks i'm left-handed

the way this shows in little things even now, like grabbing my phone with my left hand and putting it in my left pocket, grabbing my fork with my left hand during meals, etc. and these always happen when i'm on like, auto-pilot and not really thinking about what i'm doing

but I remember two bigger ways this came up when I was younger, once when I was doing a one-day archery class for a home schooling credit and I tried to hold the bow left-handed until the instructor told me, "oh! these are all right-handed bows so you have to hold it the other way, sorry. are you left-handed?" and the other was when I got a guitar for Christmas and my parents told me to hold it and see how it felt, but when I did they exchanged a look and said, "should we have gotten you a left-handedguitar? you're holding it the wrong way."

so yeah sometimes I just think about that. and I guess I wonder in what little ways my life would have been different (I know lefties have less accessibility, but what else?) or if I would have any of the same skills I have now if I had stayed left-handed

it is a whole gimmick thing ive been doing with this blog ever since i started using tumblr

i had no clue what i was doing so i was mostly like "where am i?" and i just kinda never dropped it. uhhh i changed it to part 8 cause i kinda liked that banner i made last night. heehee

I made Mints sister, now the first Mint! 😊💖 And instead of being younger she is the older sister. Her eye colour is the opposite but everything the same. So always with me 💖
