idk when you made the addition to that jackson pollock post cuz im just seeing it now but as the OP of that post fucking THANK YOU. you have no idea how much shit ive gotten over that post. people have called me an uneducated idiot so many times over a random thought i had (and worse, ive gotten so much worse) and your addition was so neat and educative!! it rlly explains some stuff and you got my original point and expanded on it!! (1/2)

i especially loved the comparisons between jenna and pollock and their works! that was super revealing to me! though i still hate the guys work i can defo respect and understand it now! words r hard but u rlly explained to me why i love modern art, but hate most of the known modern artists. idk man, thanks!! it was a neat read! And I’m sorry to hear about people attacking you. I think it’s a lot more fun to share knowledge than to insult someone for not having context, which just contributes to the gatekeeping you were clearly frustrated about in the original post.

Luckily, there are Jenna Marbleses out there to make art seem fun and accessible and remind people that they have as much claim to abstract art as anyone else does, regardless of wealth, education, color, gender, etc., etc.
