Sayonara Homies!

So there’s no real easy way to put this, but with a very heavy heart I’m super bummed to inform all you homies that The Mint will be closing its doors at the end of this month. I’m sure this will come as a shock to many, but this is something that was decided last year, and now that our shop lease is almost up, it looks like we gotta go. It was a fuckin hard ass decision to make, but I decided I wanted to step away from the skateboard retail biz to focus on video/film making and temporarily return to my hometown San Diego. Although our shop will not be here in Osaka, we’ll still be skating and filming, and we hope to continue things with The Mint in the future. But for now, we’ll just be on a temporary hiatus while we decide on the best direction for the future of The Mint.

I’d like to deeply thank all of the brands, distributors, customers and most importantly the homies who have supported The Mint for the past 5 years. It’s been an absolute pleasure to serve the skateboarding community locally here in Osaka and globally as well. It was a dream come true… for real! I have so many great memories and made so many dope friends here at The Mint. I’ll never forget all the people who have come through to hang out. It’s been fun.

But all good things must come to an end…

So… we’re having a huge blowout sale this month starting today! Shit is gonna be mad cheap yo! Our last day open for business will be 2/17 and we’ll probably have a sayonara party, so look out for those details.

Also if you’re in the hood, please don’t hesitate to stop by for a beer and some final good times here at the shop. I’d be stoked to see you all!

今までThe Mintにお越し頂いた皆様にお知らせです。 今月末にThe Mintは閉店することになりました。

4年半という短い間でしたが、The Mintをサポートしてくれたブランドの皆様、代理店の皆様、お客様、そして僕が愛するミントクルー全員に深く感謝したいと思います。 皆様。本当にありがとうございました。 これからも大阪や世界各地でスケートボードのコミュニティに貢献し続けたいと思います。お店は閉店しますが、今後もスケート撮影は続けます。 僕はThe Mintを通じて沢山の人に出会い、楽しい思い出と生涯大切にしたい仲間ができました。ここで作った楽しくクレイジーな思い出は決して忘れません。すごく楽しかった。ありがとう！

閉店に伴い、今月はセールをします！ すべての商品が非常に安くなります！是非お越しください。最後の営業日は2月17日土曜日です。 その日はサヨナラまたねパーティーを予定していますので、また詳細を報告します。
