ARC V - Supreme Z-arc Reference Post

Because I did the four (4) Dimensional Dragons, I should probably let this big boi have some love too. So, here is the Zarcquel (Zarc-Sequel, if you will)

Link's to my Four Dragons ref post, and also @/daddyzarc did a size calculation in 2019 (Just thought I'd mention it, math is hard)

Like with the four (4) dimensional Dragons, always take the 3D model's accuracy over the 2D - Doesn't mean we burn the 2D at the stake, but if ur confused on something, try focusing on the 3D model - It might help.

Personally, their are a few details that I actually prefer from the 2d, but this is just a general post. Have fun with it.

(I apologise if some of these notes are nonsensical, or confusing. If I had the ability, I would happily make diagrams/legends for what I'm talking about - but I don't, so bare with me here.)

Before I get to the Zarc, I have a few Zarc related things I want to point out.

Well rewatching the last 13~ish episodes, I realised we see phantom Zarc twice before the true reveal (outside of flashbacks, of course)

Yuya (Ep 129 - 16:00)

And Joeri/Yuri! (Ep 132 - about 3:30)

RIP Yugo, shits scary.

About the Yuu's and the merging together thing: I find it interesting at how much more aggressive the Yuri & Yugo merge was compared to Yuya & Yuto's, and I've realised that it may have something to do with the fact their was no challenge involved in Yuto & Yuya's merge.

If dueling was the main catalyst for a merge, then Yuto would've been absorbed straight into Yugo post-loss, but instead something snaps Yugo out of his trance and Yuya ends up with Yuto - Not because Yuya won, but because Yuto wanted to merge with him.

This point could even be used in the Yugo vs. Yuri fight, Yugo lost and gave into Yuri - Or in my opinion, Zarc was getting impatient and forced his hand.

Even Yuri points this out in his fight with Yuya. Before, and even during the duel, Yuri asked Yuya if he just wants to give in. Just get it over with and become one, which Yuya obviously denies and continues dueling - but this gave me a thought.

If during the Yuri Vs. Yugo fight, someone had managed to distract Yuri even when Yugo lost, would've everything gone well? Sure they would've had to deal with it at some point, and also squirming possessed Yugo probably wouldn't be the easiest thing to deal with, but still.

Would Yuya have merged into Yuri, even if he lost? Would've Zarc forced his hand, or would Yuya have been able to brute-force his way out of it if he had just a bit more support?

Just thought this was something worth pointing out.

Anyways, enough babbling. Big Dragon.

OG Supreme Zarc's eyes are yellow, the same as human Zarc's eyes, where as Supreme Yuya-Zarc's are red. This seems to be the only difference, which makes me wonder if they colour change is due to Zarc's concentrated anger/spirit, or because Yuya's eye colour is red.

I would assume its due to Yuya, which would mean that if it was Yuri (purple), Yuto (Grey), Yugo (blue) the eye colours would've changed too.

Small Ramble: OG Zarc's dragon eyes are so... wjhjkfh, the bloodshot-vein-y look, how unfocused they are. He looks so...sad. Apathetic? This isn't at all helped by the fact that the red markings on amalgam Zarc's face look like tears.

End ramble.

Anyways, Yuya-Supreme Zarc:

His Head/Neck

His head extends all the way back into a svfd-like crest - This crest also has ridges/bump's the further down you get.

The 3d model portrays the X horns as fully extended, where the 2d portrays them as more closed in/framing.

Has two smaller horns/tusks directly under its eyes and behind its mouth (image 4)

Head is... very larvae/bug-like in shape.

Horns look like human-Zarc's hair.

Upper body

A row of four ridge-like structures that run up his sternum to his throat. This is where Zarc's true body's pedestal is. (image 1)

His collarbone/breast plates extend out, they aren't flat.

Has a line of 4 needle-spines running down his neck. They stop at the shoulders/nape.

Wrist knives

Large formation on his forearm, starts halfway down and ends at the elbow

The shoulder pauldron (according to the 3D - are triangular and point up with a hollowed inside - 2D portrays them as 'L' like in shape, with them being pointed down and (presumably) filled in.)

Full Body

Multiple floating structures (Including - big wings, floating wings, upper skirt and lower skirt.)

The upper-most (big) wings are attached to large bulbs on the back of his floating wings

The floating wings emerge from the shoulder blades, they support both the big wings/bulbs and the upper skirt.

Upper skirt has five (5) black w/green tipped spines running own the side.

Lower skirt has four hanging bulbs (similar to CWSD)

Tail is so long that in some other images, its wrapped around him after he turns around - If he had legs, he would trip on it.

NORMAL HANDS. He's got five (5) fingers. (He punches Reiji/Declan Akaba with them.)

His tail is pretty smooth all the way down, has a green line running down the spine and a yellow one down the belly that extends below the green V on his hips.

Incomplete Zarc does have spines/serrated edging running down the sides of his tail starting at the hip. This detail doesn't seem to crossover the full summon.

(That 360° turn around I was talking about - Or, When Layra/Reira/Rei was using the 4 'En' Cards in Ep 140 (17:25))

Only shots of his back I could find, and I re-watched the 5 ep long fight for this...multiple times...

Anyways, yeah. Thats all I got. Feel free to point out any oopsies or misses in my detail notes, I'll try to add them into the post.

GRRRR SILKSONG GRRRRR Sinners road AUGH THE MIST!!!

Jk jk, I'm having a blast. Defeated Widow and got through the Blasted steps - Just haven't defeated the door guard. Wanted to do some roaming and side quests (Wishes...) since I assume that's the point you advance into Act 2.

I have Wanderer and Reaper Crest (Reaper is so far my favourite, used it for Widow - the Extra silk was super beneficial), and have attempted the Beast Chapel too many times to count.

I'm kinda throwing this out there to see if anyone has any tips for things I should do before advancing into Act 2.

So far I have on my to-do list:

Finish right side of Sinners Road (I think there's a simple key??)

The Mist? I'm soo confused???

Finish Exploring Hunters March

Finish Wishes ... (I'm pretty sure they won't continue to refresh - Unless I get to act 2)

That's all I can think of rn. But if anyone has any ideas - I'm all open. Feel free to ask what I've got so far. I don't mind lol.

Edit: literally an hour after posting... I found Weavenest Alta well doing some of the Hunters Journal. Almost completely on accident well screwing around with the sealed door - Upgraded Hunters Crest though!
