"Mordred."
"Riie."
Both of them, master and servant, stood in front of the stairs that lead to the big temple. The others were already there, it was only the two of them now. A smile grazed the face of the twisted red hood. Her beloved axe was resting on her right shoulder, her right hand holding the handle so it didn't fall to the ground. The axe, just like it's user, was covered in blood. Six wolfs made of blood were defeating the last beasts of the wave. The hands of her master were also covered in blood. Not even a few minutes ago, she was tearing through enemies with her sharp claws. Even her mouth wasn't saved from the blood. But that didn't surprise the Lancer. After all, Mordred did bite huge chunks out of those black beasts. Said woman opened her mouth to say something, but Riie was faster.
"They need you."
"You also need me."
A giggle escaped the gingers lips as she lifted her weapon and let the blade fall onto the ground.
"Nee~ MorMor-chan! Wipe that frown off of your face! It doesn't suit you!"
The bubbly nature of the twisted servant may seem to irritate others, especially in a situation like this, but the dragon woman was already used to it. A sigh escaped her lips before she looked back to the wolfs.
"We both know what happens when I leave you alone."
"Yes, but I can buy you more time. YOU need to get to the tree or everything we've worked on will be for nothing."
The smile was replaced with a maniac like grin. The wolfs finished their job and we're slowly coming closer towards the two woman. Mordred turned around while mumbling a very unsatisfied "fine". But she was stopped after two steps.
"Hey, MorMor-chan? Do you mind sacrificing a command spell?"
A quiet click could be heard behind her. The gray haired woman quickly turned around, only to see Riie standing there, her mask in her hand and her hood lowered. A pained smile grazed her lips, silent tears were streaming down her cheeks. Her jaw was clenched, it was obvious that she was scared.
"I'm still too scared to use it on my own."
She didn't expect this. Riie mentioned that she never takes of her mask and rarely lowers her hood. She did both just now.
But she had to focus now. The master reached out her hand towards the Lancer, the red pattern on her right hand began to glow.
"It's was an honor to fight alongside you, Master. I'll never forget our time together, Mordred Williams."
"Lancer, by my command spells, I command you to use your Noble Phantasm!"
A pained scream tore through the air. The wolfs around Riie turned into thorn of blood, impaling Riie and slowly taking over her body. But before that, she spoke the words she feared the most.
"You betrayed me, forced me into this form. It's your fault, only your fault. So come, let's suffer together!"
"Painless Beast!"
While running up the stairs, Mordred could her the deafening scream of a wolf like beast.
