Origin: West Balkans, probably Bay of Kotor; barrel of Turkish origin

Material: wood, steel, brass, niello, silver, mother-of-pearl, coral, turquoise, sapphire, ruby

Technique: forging, silverwork, niello work, gemstone setting, mother-of-pearl inlay

Decoration: Richly decorated with silver, niello, mother-of-pearl, coral, turquoise, sapphire, and ruby inlays.

Note: the presence of coral, turquoise, sapphires, and rubies indicates that this was a richly ornamented Balkan example rather than a standard military firearm.
