i really want to make aesthetic edits but i don’t really know how

do you make your own images to put into the edit?

or do you find them on the internet?

if you do find them on the internet how do you go about crediting people?

or do you not need to credit since it’s a mash-up of pictures to make a new picture with a new meaning?
