Phoenix’s head fell. He slumped while sitting in the arcade chair he was occupying. Despite coming all this way to the city arcade to play a game called ‘turnabout’ and being an actual defense attorney, he found he was quite terrible at this arcade version. He spun around in his stool, hoping that nobody he knew had saw him here because if they had the jokes might never end.
Out of quarters for the day, Phoenix stood up emptying the pockets of his suit one more time just to be sure. Nope, nothing there. It was official now. He was about to leave right then, thoroughly defeated when he noticed something odd in the arcade chair next to him. A girl was hunched over the cabinet, but rather than being intensely focused as he first thought, she was just asleep.
Phoenix leaned over her and poked her on the side of the face. “Hello? Miss? There’s probably better places to fall asleep, if you do it here somebody might pick pocket you and steal all your quarters.”
