Distracting myself from annoying sinus pain with some Miranda musings.

Namely that her approach to sexuality and intimacy is so detached, not to say utilitarian, that she spent a good two decades seeking the touch of a woman solely by impersonating the village girls' pitiful farmboy suitors for premarital coitus against a tree or other incredibly provincial scenarios. Sex is something she does while wearing the skin of another (usually a man, because it is the 1920s in rural Europe and while the Megamycete opens her mind in many aspects, the foundation is still firmly there).

So when sickly infatuated Alcina comes around and is practically trembling for Miranda to fuck her 1) as herself and 2) on a bed as opposed to on top of a haystack, she genuinely goes through a "oh shit, I could do that" moment.
