miranda class refit patrol destroyer, type 1 heavy destroyer

the refit miranda class had a roll bar system installed on refit featuring a dual fore and aft torpedo launcher, and  two fore/aft medium phase lances. while initially designed for mining and utility work, the phase lance would go on to be an effective weapon, though required no additional weapon systems active to cover the sheer amount of power they consumed. the upside to this limitation was the torpedo pod, which exchanged torpedo capacity compared to other ships like the enterprise class for power efficiency systems, allowing the torpedoes to fire alongside the phase lances. this class would go on to serve up till the dominion war, where they would finally be phased out alongside its excelsior and ambassador era types.
