Now that Oriana was safe and that she had finally dealed with her father, Miranda could focus on the fight against the Reapers instead. A part of her wished she could be on the Normandy again; she was so grateful for Shepard’s help and for her friendship, something she had never seen coming. She had never been good at having friends or at talking to people in general, but it seemed that the Commander could be an exception. For now though, Miranda spent much of her time fighting against Cerberus, for Shepard, with other former comrades. She was on their way to report to the Alliance when she saw her friend, so she decided to talk to her.
“I feel like I didn’t thank you enough for what you did for my sister and me, Shepard.” She admitted as she let a smirk cross her features. “If you need me for anything, even if it’s just to talk or worst, to complain, I’ll be there.” She assured. She now knew what it was, to have a REAL friend, and nothing would change that. She hesitated for a moment and chuckled briefly before she added, “I kinda miss the Normandy, you know.”

Miranda knows she shouldn’t drink this much. She’s happy; Oriana is safe and she even talked to her. But Niket betrayed her. The only person she thought she could trust BLINDLY. She’s stupid. Of course, instead of thinking of what went well, she’s thinking of what went bad right now. She really can’t help him.
She jumps a bit when she sees Shepard. She wishes the other wouldn’t find her in such a bad state. “Sorry, I, mmh...” No, she can’t even think properly, and she hates herself for that. And she knows Wren noticed what she’s doing.

Miranda raises an eyebrow, then can’t help but smirk at Garrus’ behavior. She doesn’t need someone to keep the door open for her, of course, and she’s pretty sure he’s well aware of that. The attention is nice, though. She’s just not entirely used to this.
“Thanks, Garrus.” She says politely as she walks through the door. “I know we haven’t talked much, but Shepard is glad to have you back around, and I’m sure you’ll be a great add to the team.”

Kasumi is very kind and caring. It’s something Miranda noticed quite early. However, she’s not good at having friends. She’s been BETRAYED so many times; it scared her. She feels like if she opens herself to someone, it will always strike back against her. She knows she shouldn’t think this way, of course, but she truly can’t do otherwise.
“I know.” She admits with a sigh. “I just.... The mission against the Collectors is more important than my personal problems.” But she wants to help Oriana more than anything else; she needs to make sure she’s SAFE.

Miranda blinks a few times at these words. Had she heard properly ? Yes. Yes, she had. There’s something going on between the two of them, of course, as much as she hates to ADMIT it. She’s always so scared to let herself be vulnerable. The only few times she did it, it hadn’t ended well. And she wants things to be great with Shepard. She cares for him too much.
“You want me... to kiss you, Commander ?” She repeats before a NERVOUS chuckle escape her lips. Maybe he realizes she cares for him more than she should. Maybe she hasn’t been careful enough. She hesitantly approaches him. “I hope you don’t ask everyone who’s working with you to kiss you.” She then teases. No, he doesn’t seem to be like this at all, and Miranda knows it.

Miranda raised an eyebrow. Yeah, maybe she was soaked because she had gone too far trying to find some traces of the Collectors around; she had not been really careful. However, it didn’t mean she was cold or anything, or maybe she was, but she didn’t care. She had seen worst. She knew the other meant well, but there was no one she really trusted.
“Alright. Thanks.” She replied as she crossed her arms over her chest.
