It's so funny bcos a friend sent Pink x Purple art earlier today, and I had your ask simmering in my brain at the time. XD
IT'S SEXY. Idk, I think it's hot that Pink does genuinely think Purple has the potential to be an excellent member of MIRA. They're competent, clever, and would make a good part of leadership. It's just that inconvenient rebellious streak.
I like to think that Pink enjoys Purple's rebellious nature as a novelty. It's cute, you are so small but you act so big. Nothing you do matters, but it's adorable to see you try. Like watching a pinned butterfly struggle.
I want to believe Pink wanted Purple to be promoted. Red might have been promoted gradually, not straight to Captain, but Purple would have gotten big promotions much quicker, since they learn fast and work well. It's like trying to tame a wild dog. There's a thrill in it.
But a pet is only entertaining up until it tries to bite back.
