My Questions:
1. If you could hire any actor to portray you in any movie, who would you choose?
Martin Freeman. For obvious reasons.
2. If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island, which 5 books, movies, people, and foods would you take along?
Well, first of all I would drag you, Alexis, and Sophie along so at least we'd go mental together. Also Bill Nye the Science Guy because he could probably rig some sort of water collecting device and/or a way to escape. (Damn, still need one more person. Ehm...RACHEL because RACHEL)
Ehm....I think I'd bring Star Trek 2009, The King's Speech, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, and the Princess Bride (This is a pretty high-class deserted island if we have television and electricity)
I'd take a lifetime supply of Walker's shortbread, because that stuff is amazing, then a good supply of salt or sugar to preserve things in, some haggis because then I could laugh and perhaps get you guys to try it and if not use it as fishing bait
I'd take The Hobbit, The Handy Guide to Escaping From a Desert Island Without Serious Injury, at least one Terry Pratchett book (probably Thud!, Night Watch, or Small Gods), The Civil War by Shelby Foote because I might have a chance of getting through it, and probably a paperback edition of all the Sherlock Holmes stories.
3. If you had to choose between a hippo or rhino as your steed for a fight (your opponent will get whichever animal you don’t choose), which one would you take?
Hippo, because then I might be able to convince it to swim away from the other person. They also have really huge teeth, so.
4. If you could make one of your senses a “super sense”, which one would you pick?
Seems like any of them would almost be a curse... I'd say hearing or scent, though.
5. What would you rather be, a poet or a tap dancer?
A poet, because then I could actually maybe write things. And I'd probably trip over my own feet and accidentally injure people if I were a tap dancer.
6. What was the last book you read? Did you like it?
Ehm, the last book I finished or? I've got several going at once, and I can't quite remember them all, but I did read Snuff by Terry Pratchett
7. Think of your favorite color (or one of them, if you have multiple). What are a few reasons you really like it?
Forest green (Because it reminds me of YOU, Grace) actually, it's just a really nice color. It's deep and dark and seems like it would feel lovely and mossy if you could touch it.
8. If you could go back in time to visit any time period of your choice, which would you choose?
Ehm....Almost any time period would be difficult because I'd miss tumblr, but I'd really love to go back to Pre-Roman Scotland, and just check out the language and culture(s), especially the musical instruments. Or actually, back to turn of the century Scotland so I could record as much of the old waulking, spinning, and weaving songs as I could, as well as the spinners' own stories. And hopefully pick up Scottish Gaelic while I'm there. Although the dresses would likely cause some problems...
9. If you had a magical pet snail that could grant wishes, what would you name it?
Alonso. Just so, when I wished to go somewhere, I could say "Alons-y, Alonso!!"
10. If you could have any mythical creature as a pet, which creature would you want?
A hippogriff.
11. If someone asked you to recommend them a book, what book would you tell them to check out?
Depends on the person, really. Strange and awesome book? Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians.
