Chicken Yakitori is a traditional Japanese dish made with grilled chicken that has been marinated in a tasty mix of soy sauce, mirin, sake, garlic, and ginger.
Ingredients: 500g chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup mirin. 2 tablespoons sake. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. Bamboo skewers, soaked in water.
Instructions: To make the sauce, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Cover the chicken pieces well with the marinade, then put them in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Put chicken that has been marinated on bamboo skewers. Warm the grill up to a medium-high level. About 10 to 12 minutes, turning the chicken skewers every so often, until they are cooked all the way through and have a little char. Enjoy while hot!
