We Want Our Captain Back - Mirror Crew
First Officer’s Log: The captain and Dr. McCoy have been taken hostage by a faction of rebel Andorians on the planet Weytahn . The planet was once a bone of contention between Vulcan and Andoria—a fight that lost all meaning when both civilizations were subjugated by the Terran Empire . Negotiations have failed as have threats. Standard procedure would be to bombard the planet with phaser fire, but I am reluctant to doom the captain to his death. I have assembled an away team, and we are beaming down to the planet to retrieve our people—our captain. Afterward when we have returned to the ship, it will be Kirk’s command that ends their civilization.
Spock waited on the transporter platform for Drs. Noel and Chapel, Lieutenant Sulu and Lieutenant Uhura. He tugged on gloves to protect his hands from the icy environment they were beaming into. He was thankful that it was not glacial as so many Andorian worlds, but it was still substantially colder than the Vulcan was used to. He had several weapons hidden away in his coat, and he had no qualms about using them on anyone who got in his way. He would have his captain back or die trying.
“We will beam down to a secluded area in a warehouse that sensors say is sparsely protected. It is my hope that the Andorians will not expect a rescue mission. They will assume that I will take this opportunity to take the captaincy.” Which was something Spock did not desire in the least. “Their error will be our advantage.”
