Adopted brother!Dimitri that in the beginning only shows his darker side to you, and even then it's only brief glimpses.
"Excuse me, Sylvain. May I steal my sister for a moment? There's something I need to discuss with her," he's cordial as ever, one hand over his heart while speaking. You hadn’t even heard him approach — yet suddenly he was looming behind you, like your own personal guard dog. His tone was deceptively gentle, but there’s an edge of steel. Somehow he always found his way over to you whenever you were talking with Sylvain.
"Of course, she's all yours. I'll see you later, sunshine, your highness" Sylvain gave you a wink along with a charming smile before nodding at Dimitri. All you can do is roll your eyes at his antics. His stride was easy, long legs carrying him quickly down the stone corridors of Garreg Mach, leaving you alone with Dimitri. You fiddled with the hem of your uniform shirt before slowly facing your brother. Even though the day was warm, a sudden chill seeped into your bones.
"We were just-"
"You shouldn't be alone with him," Dimitri's voice cut through your attempted explanation, "He's a bad influence on someone like you. All he cares about is flirting with women. He doesn't care about you, not like I do."
You stared stubbornly at the floor, focusing on the stone tiles and counting cracks. At least until Dimitri's strong fingers tilted your chin up to meet his eyes. The cool metal of his gloves sent a shiver down your spine. His usually soft blue irises had gone dull and lifeless. It was the side he usually hid so carefully — the man that wasn’t your brother. The shadow that hid behind his smile.
"You mustn't let him lead you astray, snowdrop. Sylvain might seem noble, but he’ll chase after any woman," he leaned closer until your faces were merely inches apart — for a moment you feared he might kiss you. Lately you’ve been fearing more and more. His breath was warm against your lips and you could smell the pastries he ate earlier.
"Dimitri, I-" your voice came out softer than you meant to, "I'll remember that, thank you," it's easier to say what he wants to hear. Just like that, your loving brother was back — the fog had lifted. His eyes softened and he moved to press a lingering kiss against your forehead.
"Good, now go continue your studies. It's important we set a good example for others," he ruffled your hair before retreating, his steps echoing in the hallway.
I just had a mental image of Krishna Rukmini having a Bangali wedding...or should I say biye.
It is shubhodrishti (where the bride moves the paan leaves away from her face and the couple meet eyes for the first time)
Rukmini's POV
She was dying to remove the paan leaves and lay her eyes on her Ghanshyam. It was finally time. But a strange shyness overtook her...almost a reverent shyness. She was about to look at Krishna, her Krishna. She demurely looked at his face and the entire universe surrounding her seemed to grind to a halt. He truly was Bhuvansundar. His eyes were like young lotus buds drenched in fresh dew. Kalboishakhi clouds seemed to form his skin. The entire cosmos had condensed to form his divine darkness. And the chandan dots on his forehead looked like gleaming stars in the night sky. His soft locks of hair framed his face beautifully. And his topor made him look so regal. Her heart longed to hear her name come forth from his honeyed lips. She could not keep the tears away from her eyes and neither the joyous smile from her face. She realised that he was looking at her just as fixedly as she was. His smile in her direction felt like the cool breeze that used to play through her hair in Vaikunth.
Krishna's POV
He heard the uludhwani go up. He knew his beloved would be here any moment. His heart searched for her presence with fervent devotion. A joyful commotion started and his Hridayvasini was carried on a pnidi. The group went around him 7 times. Each revolution making his heart go a little more wild. Finally they stopped in front of him, his Shree had her face covered with paan leaves. She was dressed in the most radiant red benarasi, decked in gold and an ornate shola crown. She finally lowered her paan leaf and looked up at him. The kumkum on her forehead rose above the paan leaves, the way the sun rises from the heart of the mountains. Her brightest jewellery paled in comparison to the golden glow of her face. Her ruby red lips stretched into a shy smile and it seemed as though all the stars of the night sky had come together to take the shape of a bloomed lotus. Her kohl lined eyes shined with joyful tears. They looked like the diya that burns by the two sides of the door guiding the homeward bound souls. And he was home. Those eyes were Vaikunth.
So my father went to the Kolkata International Bookfair or any Bangali's favourite Boimela. He saw a stall of Sulekha inks...The Sulekha inks and of course he had to explore.
Let me share with you a brief history of Sulekha....
Around 1932 Satish Das Gupta, an ex-chemist of Bengal Chemicals prepares Swadeshi ink, names it Krishnadhara and sells it through Khadi outlets. He then hands the recipe over to Maitra brothers Shankaracharya and Nani Gopal and asked them to make the ink commercially and call it Sulekha ( there is also a story which claims Kobiguru Rabindranath Thakur gave them the name সুলেখা or Sulekha ). After years of an illustrious journey they closed around 1990 and then reopened in 2006.
So my father purchased three things. Two inks and a notebook.
The first ink is a blood red ink called সেলাম ( Selaam or Salaam ). It was made as a gift to Bangladesh commemorating The Language Movement ( ভাষা আন্দোলন ). At first 21 bottles were gifted as a tribute to 21st February. And the creator of the ink mixed in a drop of his blood in the first 21 bottles. Then the ink became popular and was manufactured more. It is a beautiful red colour...and every drop of this ink holds in it the memories of every drop of blood shed for my beloved Bangla Bhasha.
The second ink is a vibrant green. Coloured just like the green of India's Tiranga. This ink was formulated on the day after India's Independence. It is called Swadhin or স্বাধীন.
The third is a notebook made in collaboration with jamini Ray's family. And I absolutely love that notebook.
Joe "I love respecting women" Goldberg that finds out you're a virgin and immidiatelly starts figuring out how to fuck you.
Setting up romantic evenings for the two of you. Romantic music, wine if you drink, nice dinner. Honestly if he wasn't worried it might turn you off he'd spread rose petals on the floor leading to his bed.
He thinks he's being subtle. He's not. Kissing you longer, pressing soft kisses along your jaw and neck.
Trying to voice your worries? It's okay, he knows you're nervous. He'll be so, so gentle and you just need to say the word and he'll stop. After coaxing and convincing you that he's doing all of this for you. He just wants to make you feel good.
"Look, I know you're nervous, but it's natural. Best way to get over it is to just do it. And you know I'd never hurt you," while he's already got you on the bed and he's feeling you up over your clothes.
I have been very fascinated by flames and fire since my childhood. When as an adult I feel like I am drowning and I am lost, it is this very flame that lit up my path. It grounded me...even if for a brief window. It gave a purpose and a hope. It keeps giving me the power to reforge my core. It is transformative. It symbolizes art as it dances till it ends. It is the beacon of illumination in a dark room. It is to me a blessing of the Devi. It is indeed the fire of life.

I started playing Fire Emblem Three Housed again and hear me out: adopted brother!Dimitri. The two of you were only survivors of the tragedy of Duscur, but unlike Dimitri, you have blocked the memory completely. All you remember is travelling, then nothing and then being surrounded by people. He resents you for it, but he can't let you go. There must be a reason you were spared alongside him, why you can't remember any of it, while he remembers everything. To him it becomes proof that you need his protection. He keeps you close at all times at The Officers Academy, and only one he trusts you with is Dedue.
Everyone else sees an overprotective older brother, with a good reason. He's always doting on you, making sure you're okay, but they don't see how different he is when the two of you are alone. Dimitri tries to hide the darkness within him, but it keeps slipping past his defenses, especially when you keep talking with others, when you continue being too carefree. You should only smile for him, but it's okay. He'll remind you again and again why you should only focus on him.
I had a dream I got kidnapped by a group of dilfs. They just fixed my stuff, told me dad jokes and gaslighted me a bit. Because silly girls need to be surrounded by strong men who know what's best for her. They chose what I wore, what I ate, when I slept and I always had to have a daddy sleeping with me.
In the dream I escaped them, but they kept messaging me, telling me that I made a mistake and that I should just come back to them because I didn't know what I was doing.
