what if the clans didn't leave the forest territories together?
windclan, desperate to get moving, leaves without the other clans. shadowclan, determined and too proud to go along with the other clans, goes to twolegplace to unseat bloodclan. riverclan, whose territory has yet to really see any consequences of the twolegs, insists on staying right where they are. thunderclan, seeing the others won't be convinced, sets off to join windclan in an attempt to at least follow the prophecy.
eventually, windclan and thunderclan reach the lake, where tallstar dies. however, his last wish is not to switch deputies, but for the leaderless windclan and deputyless thunderclan to join together under the joint rule of firestar and mudclaw. they become one, lionclan once again.
shadowclan, at first just trying to survive in the twolegplace, eventually becomes known to the cats there as the shadows. bloodclan is unstable and falling apart after scourge's death, fury's surrender, and all of the events of ravenpaw's manga, and they are able to take over. many of the remaining bloodclan cats who had been trapped when they ruled flee the twolegplace, seeking refuge from ravenpaw and barley.
riverclan stays where they are, but their territory slowly grows smaller and more polluted, until they basically only have their camp. it can still support a few cats, but not the whole clan. they eventually become the clan of messengers, acting as a connection point between the others and constantly moving between groups, only stopping at their camp to rest between journeys. when they learn about skyclan, they bring messages and connection to them as well.

Idk if you’re familiar with Death Note but for the uninitiated it’s a show where a high schooler (Light) becomes a serial killer through the power of a magic notebook dropped by a god of death (Ryuk.) He has a devoted but more powerful follower (Misa) and an anonymous detective (L) is attempting to prove he’s the killer, despite his dad (Chief Yagami) protesting his innocence. Anyway I don’t know how they would turn “notebook that kills people” into a kid-friendly parody concept but I just had a vision of Mort as Misa so if I were doing “Death Note but it’s AHKJ” I’d have Julien as Light, Karl as Ryuk, Mort as Misa, Maurice as Chief Yagami and Clover as L
I don't know much about Death Note, that's me! I did have to look up if Misa is the girly popstar. One of my favorite artists is Findo so she's my fav character through osmosis.
I can't really judge who'd be what, but I will say idk about KJ becoming a serial killer on purpose. It's not in his nature to resort to murder, for ex. as a prince it never occurred to him to assassinate his uncle. He was willing to kill Koto, however he's gracious and forgiving to all of his villains, no matter what they've done. I don't think he wants to rid the world of them - Koto just wasn't giving them other options. I mean KJ didn't even feel good about leaving a bunch of chickens to die. Which is why I say "on purpose" bc it could happen thru hijinks.
Clover is more likely to seriously weigh the cost-benefits of intentionally killing people by writing them into her journal (literally her favorite thing to do). Though she might prefer hand-to-hand combat and find the death note kind of cowardly. It's true she has a strong sense of justice, personal integrity, and loves to follow the law, but I just think she'd be more tempted to use it on purpose. KJ goes easy on people, even those who try to kill him, while Clover can be harsh over small infractions.*
I also wonder if Koto would be a fitting god of death, or even Uncle…. Karl would fancy himself a god of death, but he's not truly the deadliest or most godlike villain. Koto is the one who brought out the killer in Julien, which is interesting to think about. And Uncle has the highest kill-count.
Maurice would absolutely defend kj's innocence, but he'd know kj was up to some bullshit. He'd just lie to protect him. He'd suspect clover too if she was the killer. Giving her the shifty eyes
Summary: Teddy is a former thrall turned vampire hunter. After a decade of chasing her revenge, she gets wind of a group of Hunters keeping an all-too-familiar monster in their custody. Now finally, after ten years waiting, maybe she'll finally get some answers.
And much needed payback.

Teddy left Will to watch the truck while she made the journey into the compound alone to pick up the vampire. He seemed to understand, and didn’t argue or ask why. Just turned up the radio, and leaned back the passenger’s seat to nap until she showed back up to drive them home.
The Hunter Teddy had talked with on the phone—Brooks—led her on a meandering path through the repurposed factory. Past living and dining areas where many Hunters gathered in their off hours, and past the armory in the factory’s basement.
Down, again, to a sub basement that reeked of must and rot and worse. Long used to it, Teddy simply studied the layout, mapping her path back out to the surface, a habit ingrained after years of training in a place not that different from this one.
Brooks led them to what looked like an old walk-in industrial kiln, now fit and reinforced to work as a containment cell. The box was covered in locks and seals, both magical and mundane, layered intricately with each other in a masterful weave.
Brooks glanced over his shoulder as he worked to unlock the cage. “So uh, if you don’t mind me asking, why this one?” He shrugged, clearly asking out of boredom or mild curiosity. “We don’t get many transfer requests out here.”
“Got a score to settle with it.”
Teddy didn’t elaborate, but Brooks didn’t push. The man just nodded, clearly accepting that as answer enough. “Fair enough. Still one less leech I gotta keep tabs on.”
