Just a quick little note to those freaked out by the mod chat regarding ownership. This is not legally enforceable by any means when it comes to our personally designed characters and even official buns they would have no means for this.

1. I checked multiple databases and succubuns doesn't seem to be an officially trademarked or copyrighted. Therefore they can't claim copyright if this is correct.

2. The best phrasing of this would be "You cannot copyright an idea." They can only copyright things they have originally designed (NPCs) or owned (the site).

3. Even if we roleplayed the NPCs, drew art of them, and whatnot they couldn't do anything because while they own the original, they do not and cannot own transformative works. You just can't make money off of those characters.

4. Following this point, all our characters are transformative. The only two people who could claim the design would be the owner or the artist.

5. They can ONLY ban you. It's just social stigma after that, but since so many CS are losing respect for succubuns I doubt anyone would really care too much.

I HIGHLY encourage you all to look into the legality for yourselves, if for nothing else then your own ease. We're all good guys, even if voided, the only real loss is it's official status and ability to be traded online. It only has as much weight as you want it to.

I've noticed a trend of people who hate their artstyle after joining succubuns. Lots of people who were confident and vibrant artists now hate their own work. I can't help but blame the nitpicky and strict artstyle policies. It's sad.

Reminder to not let yourself get too worked up over Succubuns or any CS. The only reason most cs hold value is because of artificial scarcity, and anything you can do in a CS you can *also* do with some close friends and none-cs OCS.

You can draw you're own bunny OCS that aren't Succubuns

You can write about those OCS all day without restrictions

You can code your own website for them

You can make your own interactive materials.

You can even do things that Succubuns isn't doing like making music, animations, games and so much more.

Not trying to shame y'all for liking Succubuns or wanting better conditions for your community, but also remember that if it sucks you can hit the bricks! And a lot of anger you have towards other for having what you might not can be remedied by simply making your own setting and material entirely. This is coming from someone who used to visit drama blogs all the time cause I was angry that others had what I didn't, so please know this come from a place of genuinely wanting to not see others fall into the same traps I did. No matter who you are you're capable of doing great things with the talent you have! And what talent you don't have, you can learn and improve your skills over time with hard work!

gonna be honest as much as I hate succubuns, I think that if you join it to complain about the offensive religious themes then you should leave. cry me a fucking river, I don’t care if you feel that the baby Jesus was disrespected, you joined here of your own volition knowing the theming and you can leave too. It will never be your place to tell queer people or literally anyone with religious trauma how they can or cannot quote, joke about and parody your faith. comparing adopts nd cs to nfts is also super disrespectful to the artists who put work and thought into bringing new character designs to life vs lazy auto generated images... like even the laziest lowest effort adopt has so much more work put into it over an nft i can't understand how you'd even make that comparison 🙃

Please leave the mod of this blog outta your hate. They've been very kind in defending me and I am thankful for that, but they don't deserve to be put in that position. I'm very open about my social media accounts, if you wanna hate on me you can do it without using mod Sweetie as a mouthpiece. They haven't done anything wrong by giving all of us this space to talk.

Again you're allowed to think whatever you want about me. I don't bend over backwards to be palatable to faceless strangers. But if you're going to talk shit, you can do it directly. We're all adults here.

That being said I also sincerely believe that a lot of people here would benefit from jumping the closed species ship entirely. You're not gonna find a species with a staff that pleases everybody. There's always gonna be drama, there's always gonna be dogpiling, there's always gonna be back talk, there's always gonna be rules you don't like.

Unless you make your own rules. They're your characters and you should be allowed to do whatever the Hell you want with them. And I understand the sunk cost fallacy because that was what kept me around too. I'd paid for a slot to create one of my characters.

But at a certain point I just had to take that L. I had to cut myself off and accept that I wasn't gonna get that back, it was gone. Yves ain't gonna pay me back.
