Here's some rules

- Serious allegations need proof, don't accuse people of being a groomer or something unless you got some receipts to back it up

- Name dropping is allowed but be reasonable what you call someone out for, and if you see a name dropped DO NOT BOTHER THAT PERSON. This rule is subject to change should things get too out of hand.

- Be petty, be rude, be a salty bitch, but what we're not gonna do is shit on beginner artists. I will also not stop anyone from ripping you to shreds if you say something bigoted or stupid.

- Topics may be cut short and I will stop posting asks related to the given subject if we start circling too much.

- Due to consistent issues whenever this topic has been brought up here, the subject of real-life religions of any denomination is now off-limits. You can thank the anons who couldn't behave for that one.

-I will not include any official Succubuns artwork and assets in posts to avoid copyright threats.

- The intent of this blog is to air our grievances, not harass or bully anyone.

-I will not post off-anon asks unless you mention being aware of being off anon, so no worries. If you accidentally send something off anon, I may ask you to resend.

-If you wanna vent without your ask being posted, please mention this and I will not post it.

Aside from these rules, all asks will be posted, unbiased. Thus the asks posted will not necessarily be reflective of the mod's opinion on a given issue. I will not always chime in, don't ask me to. I don't have a horse in this race because I'm not in the species anymore.

I would reccomend not using adopts for commercial purposes if you haven't discussed that with the original designer, but otherwise do whatever you want with your ocs yall

yves and luca can't do shit, succubuns doesn't seem to be an official trademark, and even if it was you have not signed any contract binding you to those design rules, especially if you redesign the character to no longer be exactly a succubun

ik it's a bit scary when people start talking about copyright and legal action, but you can't just sue random internet users - for the succubun team to sue you they'd need at minimum your full legal name. I don't know exactly how courts work in america, but in my country you also need the person's address and social security number. Not to mention it's hard to even sue someone in a different city, nevermind state or country

they can ban and shit talk you, but that's about it

Hey remember when people said to not freak out over the TOS because we are reading it wrong? Well theres yves and luca saying you can’t use a design commercially even if it isn’t a succubun, if it started as one. Which is impossible to prove either way. They give zero shits about breaking individual artists TOS but hold their’s as the gold standard. Hey since I know you two read this, go touch fucking grass and just try to sue one of your users. Show how supportive you are of other artists by threatening them with legal shit.

I've noticed a trend of people who hate their artstyle after joining succubuns. Lots of people who were confident and vibrant artists now hate their own work. I can't help but blame the nitpicky and strict artstyle policies. It's sad.

To the brave souls who are being pushed into mod chat, I hope y'all see this message, the one I linked, & screenshot the conversations before they close the tickets out.

This is gross overreach of their alleged power as the species owners & you have inherent intellectual rights to your designs. Do NOT let them bully you into silence or legal bs cuz you made the mistake of taking a design to port into a succubun.

The person who reported it to Patreon literally included the screenshots of the report. It was taken down because Succubuns reach maturity at one year old which means that the NSFW nature of the site was suspect. Unless the staff gives them actual canon ages, Patreon literally cannot verify if the NSFW pinups were CP. I don't blame them for not restoring their account, especially with how child-like Mercy's pinup looked.

Just a quick little note to those freaked out by the mod chat regarding ownership. This is not legally enforceable by any means when it comes to our personally designed characters and even official buns they would have no means for this.

1. I checked multiple databases and succubuns doesn't seem to be an officially trademarked or copyrighted. Therefore they can't claim copyright if this is correct.

2. The best phrasing of this would be "You cannot copyright an idea." They can only copyright things they have originally designed (NPCs) or owned (the site).

3. Even if we roleplayed the NPCs, drew art of them, and whatnot they couldn't do anything because while they own the original, they do not and cannot own transformative works. You just can't make money off of those characters.

4. Following this point, all our characters are transformative. The only two people who could claim the design would be the owner or the artist.

5. They can ONLY ban you. It's just social stigma after that, but since so many CS are losing respect for succubuns I doubt anyone would really care too much.

I HIGHLY encourage you all to look into the legality for yourselves, if for nothing else then your own ease. We're all good guys, even if voided, the only real loss is it's official status and ability to be traded online. It only has as much weight as you want it to.
