Missing songs from Double Dealing Character?

If you extract the files from Double Dealing Character, you can find the tracks’ descriptions in a file called musiccmt.txt.

Each song has a corresponding bgm/th14_xx number as follows:

bgm/th14_01 - 不思議なお祓い棒

bgm/th14_02 - ミストレイク

bgm/th14_03 - 秘境のマーメイド

bgm/th14_04 - 運河を行き交う人妖

bgm/th14_05 - 柳の下のデュラハン

bgm/th14_06 - 満月の竹林

bgm/th14_07 - 孤独なウェアウルフ

bgm/th14_09 - マジカルストーム

bgm/th14_10 - 幻想浄瑠璃

bgm/th14_11 - 空中に沈む輝針城

bgm/th14_12 - リバースイデオロギー

bgm/th14_14 - 針小棒大の天守閣

bgm/th14_15 - 輝く針の小人族　～ Little Princess

bgm/th14_16 - 小槌の魔力

bgm/th14_17 - 不思議な不思議な道具達

bgm/th14_18 - 魔力の雷雲

bgm/th14_19 - 始原のビート　～ Pristine Beat

As you can see, nothing is associated with bgm/th14_08 and bgm/th14_13, I wonder if they were some scrapped songs?

The setup instructions were incomplete in the readme.txt from ver. 1.00a of Double Dealing Character. The sentence started with “If it doesn't start”, but it didn’t say what to do in that case. The rest of it was missing.

It was corrected in ver. 1.00b, where it mentions that you have to run setup.exe if it doesn’t start.

EDIT (14-Feb-2024): It was also incomplete in the trial versions.

As you can see, at the bottom of the readme file from ver. 0.01a, the release date is 2011/03/13, but that’s not right because Double Dealing Character was released in 2013 (the correct date is showed at the beginning of the file: 2013/05/26).

2011/03/13 is actually the date when Ten Desires trial was supposed to be released first (but it got rescheduled). Probably ZUN just copied the readme.txt and modified some parts to fit DDC, but forgot to change that part.

The error was corrected in the readme file of ver. 0.01b.

The last sentence from Reimu’s description in the omake.txt of the full versions of Double Dealing Character has “.....” at the end. It did not have the ellipsis in the trial versions.

The last two rows from Wakasagihime’s description from the omake.txt of the trial versions of Double Dealing Character were modified.

trial: そんな彼女が何故か下克上を企んだようだ。 　　どういった心境の変化だろうか？

full: 打ち出の小槌の魔力に冒され、強気になっていたところ霊夢達に 　　成敗された。　　

       今はもう大人しい。

The dialogue box from “a” versions of Double Dealing Character has bigger border.

The last two rows from Kagerou’s description from the omake.txt of the trial versions of Double Dealing Character were modified. 

trial: それが、何故か今回は暴れていたのが霊夢の耳に届き、 　　 退治された。

full: 打ち出の小槌の魔力に冒され、凶暴になっていたところ霊夢達に 　　成敗された。　　

       今はもう大人しい。

Also her name romanization wasn’t in the trial omake either, but was added in the full omake.
