New Doctor
So Yesterday, I went to my first appointment with my new OB-GYN. Besides all of the waiting that I did, I am really happy with the decision that I made to change doctors.
She answered all of my questions and was willing to help me get my PCOS symptoms. She didnt pressure me to do anything over the other and best of all she was gentle when performing my PAP.
I started off with asking her about my options with dealing with my PCOS, I had asked if there was any creams or pills that I could take to help with the hair growth on the face, she explained to me that plucking and pulling the hairs do nothing. She prescribed me Spironolactone and said that to really treat the Hair Growth that I should pair that with Electrolysis or Laser Hair removal. She also suggested Birth Control if I wanted but since I have regular cycles that It would be okay not to get on BC.
I also told her about my two previous miscarriages and explained how those happened and what took place and asked her if there was anything that could be done to figure out why they happened. Most doctors have said that with most miscarriages that happen less than 13 weeks there is usually a defect in how the sperm and egg start to develop. She said that there is something in the body that attacks the pregnancy and most times it can be treated with taking a baby aspirin daily. She said there was bloodwork that could be done to determine if that was what was happening in my case and I said lets do it.
When the phlebotomist came in to take my blood I remembered that I wanted to bloodwork done for everything Which was testing for HIV, and all the STD's. 20 Vials of blood for all of that plus cultures..
When it was finally time to do my pap I was cringing at the fact that it was gonna hurt and you could never really prepare yourself for that, but this time it didnt and I was so relieved. She said that my cervix was beautiful and that my uterus was a nice normal size. I dont know why I was so excited about that but I was..
During the time of waiting on the doctor to come in I looked at the medical diagraphs of the vagina and all of the things that could go wrong...and I just thought to my self...there is soooooo much shit that women dont know about their bodies and how it works in general.
Im going to be looking into the electrolysis. I need to get my skin together. I have actually dealt with it for too long.
If you have any questions let me know.
