Prompt 99: An intense board game takes a turn for the worst "N-O-E-M-I" the group of four chanted as the triangle moved across the board, stopping briefly at certain letters. "Noemi? Is that even a name?" John, the generic protagonist-y one said. "She must have meant Naomi. Hello, Naomi! I'm Sarah," she chirped sweetly. Suddenly three vases in the corner were picked up and smashed against the opposite wall. The two girls screamed and tried to pull their hands away from the pointer, but they couldn't, it was as if a malevolent force was holding their hands in place. In sharp and angry jerks, the group of four scared teens were forced to pull the pointer from letter to letter. "D-I-D I F-U-C-K-I-N-G S-T-U-T-T-E-R?" The spirit wrote. "Noemi! Noemi! I'm sorry!!" Begged Sarah, "I won't make the mistake again, I promise!" "John!" Chris, the other guy, called, "This was your game! M-make it stop!" "I can't, I can't!" "Please!" Sarah cried, "Forgive me!" "T-O-O L-A-T-E T-O-O L-A-T-E T-O-O L-A-T-E T-O-O L-A-T-E" The pointer was moving fast and continuously. "you have to say goodbye to the board!" Chris reminded. "Goodbye!" John shouted, "Let us go! Goodbye!" All this time, the normally smiling and chatty Maria sat silently, as if in a state of shock, but as soon as John cried his final goodbye, everyone's hand was released, everyone's but hers. John, Chris, and Sarah yanked their hands away and watched in horror as Maria silently moved the pointer to one final location, but it wasn't the "goodbye" at the bottom. It was the "No" at the top. Maria looked up and her eyes were deep blood red. She smirked and shook her head, "No, I think I'll stick around for a bit longer." This was just a quick little thing for class
