I love your point so much. It also strongly echoes MLK Jr's letter from Birmingham jail; basically that a racist, antagonist person who actively is against them is much better than the white moderate who does nothing because that is what was especially hurting the fight for inequality (them saying now isn't the time for rights and etc). So similar idea just different oppression.
YES, I LOVE THAT LETTER. Honestly, MLK knew what was up and I hate that white historians have twisted his legacy to make him out as some kind of quiet, polite, “turn the other cheek” kind of guy because if you actually read some of his speeches and letters it becomes clear that he was not like that at all.
