Makoto felt he'd never understand her. The same girl, Misaki-chan, who had told him she despised male's and only swam because she had to be the best was now seated right there with him, feet soaking in the pool, and asking for a kiss. He had to laugh, she was driving him insane. Brown locks swayed gracefully as Makoto’s lips curled into a coy smirk and he chuckled to himself. Eyes fixated on the water below, he pursed his lips. "I really don't get you sometimes..." Makoto turned to face her. And that's when he really saw her beauty. Maybe it was the moonlight, maybe it was her bashful nature, maybe Makoto had just been that lonely that he needed some sort of physical affection in order to feel again. Something to make him whole, something to remind him he was human and had emotions as well. He studied her, silken dark locks of hair, reflecting the moonlight, looking like a velvet blanket splattered in diamonds. Casually he reached for a strand and let it fall through his fingers. Mouth going dry as words escaped him, he took a deep breath to steady his heart as he gazed into those eyes that reminded him of precious amber stones, glowing when held to the sunlight. His heart sank, recalling their previous encounters. He wanted her to enjoy swimming...and perhaps enjoy being around him, and she hadn't from what he could tell. Women and their wishy-washy ways, he laughed. That ebony silk fell through his fingers as Makoto gingerly stroked her hair. He meant what he'd said before. "I really don't get you sometimes...but I'm not going to deny you affection." He smiled. Makoto knew this could be bad for them, and yet his hand reached for the back of her hair. He knew she would probably only run after this like most girls had, and yet he licked his lips and leaned in until they were barely a breath apart. He knew this would most likely end badly, and yet his lips pressed to hers so softly, feeling the heat, the silken texture, the soft gooey wetness of her lip gloss against his mouth. Maybe Makoto had lost all senses, but something magnetic drew his lips to hers as they meshed together in a sweet, tender, romantic kiss that made him feel something he'd never felt before. It wasn't electricity, he wasn’t seeing stars, only her and that moment shared together with no one around to judge them but the stars. His lips parted as he sucked in her breath and ever so gently, teasingly danced the tip of his tongue against hers and pulled away. Thumb to her chin, he softly pecked her lips once more. So many questions running through his mind, but only one rang out loud and clear as he caught his breath. "If you wanted to kiss me, why didn't you say something sooner?"
