Hey, I have been trying to work with admin pack #1 (which, can I say, is absolutely stunning), however I keep hitting a wall when it comes to opening the pack in photoshop. Not with the psds themselves, but the Bebas Nue Regular font. I have repeatedly installed and replaced this font, but when I open the psd files in PS, they still say this font has not been installed. Can you give me any pointers as to why, and how to fix it?
Aah, I’ve never had or heard of anyone who has had this problem before, unfortunately! Are you downloading Bebas Neue from this site, and are you installing the .otf files (as opposed to the .ttf files)? Downloading the font from another site like Dafont might give you a different version of the file than the one I used in the PSD, and the .ttf is considered a different font so it will not correspond to the one that I used. I occasionally have issues with fonts showing up if I install them with Photoshop open, so have you tried closing the program? Also, make sure you’re extracting the files from the .zip before opening them.
Usually, when I try to open a PSD that uses a font I don’t have installed, a popup window will ask something along the lines of whether or not I’d like to ‘resolve’ the font (ie. change it to something else). If that comes up for you, I suggest selecting a different font, saving the file with it, and then dealing with Bebas some other way (because at least then you’ve got the file open and Photoshop isn’t throwing errors at you).
If you like, I can reupload the file with a default font in place of Bebas Neue (assuming you don’t have any issues with Open Sans Extrabold, the other font used)? I’m a bit reluctant because I can’t think of any Windows fonts offhand that look quite as nice, but that might be better than not being able to open the file at all, so just let me know! I have seen others use the template before, though, so I don’t think a problem with the pack itself.
